Tanzanian's Cabinet Reshuffle will not Improve People's Living Standard

News:

Recently President John Magufuli of Tanzania made a minor cabinet reshuffle whereby the number of ministries was increased from 19 to 21. Also he split the energy and minerals ministry into two ministries, while agriculture, livestock and fisheries all put into single ministry.

Comment:

This reshuffle claimed for strengthening the cabinet for the sake of improving people's living standard. This is the slogan of what President Magufuli says that he is in place to serve for the benefits of general public specifically the poor.

Cabinet reshuffle has been done repeatedly since this country gained the so-called independence, and this cosmetic change has not materialized in terms of improving people's living standard for over half a century.

Although rulers claiming to work for elevating people's living standard yet the country crippling from economic hardships; lack of employment both public and private sector, price hike to mention a few.

It is painful to watch this misery continue to face the country despite having abundant natural resources and opportunities. As for the case of minerals, it accounts for only about 4 percent of the national GDP, leaving its larger part exploited by the so called investors. Unfortunately there are still calls for massive increase in investment to solve the economic crisis.

Tanzania and the rest of the world must consider the capitalist ideology as the root cause of this setback. Undoubtedly the socio-economic failure is through the implementation of capitalist economy which practically failed miserably. It failed to eliminate poverty, unemployment, price hikes as well as provide just distribution of resources or even fulfill the basic needs of millions.

After the establishment of the Khilafah state (Caliphate) in the method of the Prophethood there will be no colonial exploitation in the name of private investment rather the state will utilize all resources for the benefits of all citizens, since Islam came as a mercy to all mankind.
