In recent polls carried out for Hope Not Hate by YouGov it was found that 60% of Conservative Party members believe Islam “is generally a threat to Western civilization”. 54% believe Islam to be “generally a threat to the British way of life”. A 40% want to limit Britain’s Muslim population and two-thirds believe in the completely false idea that parts of Britain are under sharia law. The polls coincided with the Conservative party’s leadership election, where the favorite candidate was Boris Johnson. He compared Muslim women in niqab to “bank robbers” and “letterboxes” and it was he, who subsequently was the successful candidate.

The negativity towards Islam and Muslims by members of the Conservative party is nothing new and is indeed inherited and inherent when we look at the past.
It was the Conservative Prime Minister, Churchill who wrote: “Muslems may show splendid qualities. Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the Queen: all know how to die: but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it.”

As long as Muslims were loyal servants of the Crown they were acceptable but Islam was most certainly not acceptable, just like today. Churchill's hatred for Muslims and all those that were colonised was evident. It should not be forgotten that it was Churchill who starved millions in West Bengal, and transported hundreds of thousands of Muslims from India to fight the Japanese, then abandoned them there.

Today, Briain ignores the murderous policies of the Zionist entity, after creating the occupation of Palestine. They ignore the massacres of the Burmese Rohingya, after creating Burma. They ignore the plight of the Kashmiri Muslims after they partitioned India. British policies towards Muslims have not improved. No matter which government is in power. Today the fear of Islam rising is real and a threat to Britian. Despite Britain being instrumental in dividing the Muslim world after the destruction of the Ottoman Caliphate in 1924, British thinkers, journalists and politicians are well aware that the pressure is on and Muslims are thinking about their political future, a future without colonial influence and a future with Islam as a political force.

Muslims are thinking of the political alternative of Islam and Islam is re-shaping the lives of Muslims everywhere which goes against the claim by Boris Johnson that he made in 2006. He claimed, Islam has caused the Muslim world to be “literally centuries behind” the West. Missing out that the meddling of the colonial powers in the past and today is the root cause of the misery in Muslim lands. It was not Islam but Britian and France that was behind the division of the Muslim lands with the Skypes Picot Agreement in 1916. It was not Islam but Britain that gave the blessed land of Palestine to the Zionists through the Balfour Declaration and it was not Islam but the British agent, Mustafa Kemal that stabbed the Muslims in the back and led to the destruction of the mighty Islamic State.

It is easy for history to be twisted and facts forgotten while we live without the Khilafah state. It will be the strong policies and declarations of the Khilafah state alone that will remove the oppression of Britain and others from the Muslim lands, remove the corrupt agent rulers who serve everyone BUT the Ummah and ultimately uproot the rotten capitalist system that only seeks to make benefit from the lives of Muslims without any good for them.
