The trade war between the United States and China that began in 2017 has today grown in size and scope that no one would have envisaged. The US has applied 10% to 15% tariffs on $300 billion of Chinese goods. Another $250 billion, previously taxed at 25%, will now be taxed at 30 percent.

Rise in Electricity Prices in Tajikistan

Since 1 September 2019, in Tajikistan new electricity tariffs, which were adopted by the government in June 22, 2019 entered into force. From now on, residents of the country have to pay 17% more for electricity, 22.66 Dirams instead of 19.37 Dirams per 1 kilowatt.
