The True Visionary Statesman Sought After by the Ummah and Mankind

Despite a number of more than two billion Muslims, an incredibly rapidly growing number in manpower, the most powerful, the best equipped and bravest armies, the most fertile soils and richest underground and aboveground wealth the Muslim Ummah does not possess the political willpower and force to change invasions, colonisations, or the slightest oppression.

The reason is that true power does not come through wealth but through leadership. In fact; the Muslim Ummah is doomed to this state, robbed of all her advantages, energies and hopes, prevented from achieving its guaranteed success in this world and the Hereafter through empty slogans and political fallacies by harmful, tyrant, merciless “megalomaniac”, vicious political leaders and guardians of the kufr system, who adorn themselves with fake and inflated images, and even boast themselves with their closeness, amity and services to the enemies of Islam and the Muslims.

Let's get one thing straight right off the bat: leadership and being a leader is not the same thing. While leadership is a vision, the leader is someone who embraces and embodies a visionary leadership in his personality in order to guide with it. This means that those who do not possess a true vision are on no account deserving of being leaders. This means that this Ummah is not in need of leaders, instead it needs decent statesmen, who embrace and carry the true visionary leadership.

A true and firm vision has been provided by solely and exclusively by Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala. Therefore; any non-Islamic, out-of-Islam proposition of a “vision”, is merely a “fantasy” of realising personal whims and desires and thus bound to failure. As a matter of fact, this world has seen countless powerful nations, states, ideologies; and yet each of them eventually perished. Today; the capitalist world order, which overthrows legal systems it once labelled as valid, which deems only a small section of mankind worthy of justice, and dooms masses to poverty while giving wealth into the possession of a few, which holds onto ethics and decency only to the point where it limits sexual perversion or constitutes a threat to material gains (the latest example is the Epstein issue), which considers itself the supreme and eternal owner of success by monopolising rule over the world, is in the throes of death. The colonialist kufr system, that managed to barely reach until today by devouring its own idols of sugar (freedoms, equality, human rights, women’s rights, children’s rights, international law, etc.) from its very beginnings, has no “capital” left in its hands to deceive mankind any longer. And those, who clung on the rudder on waters of no return, are unable to leave their ship they ran aground with nothing left to survive, pounce on everyone and everything that comes across, with more savage than ever, like rabid animals.

History of mankind is evidence that fantasies never became visions. And the leaderships built upon these fantasies destructed themselves, while crushing mankind between the gears of vicious cycles. Those, who took on to manage the people’s affairs with this type of leaderships succeeded at most in becoming pharaohs (Fir’auns), nimrods, tyrants, dictators and biting rulers; and yet they eventually perished while incurring the wrath of Allah, the Lord of themselves, as well as of all of creation. While their systems, void of any vision, perished alongside themselves.

The true, firm and successful vision is Islam itself. As this vision’s success is presented and guaranteed by Allah Azzawajall, it does not lead only a part of humanity to peace and tranquillity as capitalism does, but its entirety; it leads every nation, that embraces it, not only to material progression, but also to moral, humane, cultural, and scientific progression, which is available to everybody. Additionally, it does not desert humans to a lifetime of searching for alternatives, which change every second day, and thus dooming them to restless, insatiable and miserable lives, for this vision from Allah is in harmony with the nature of the human being.

As this vision’s success is not limited to this world only, instead eternal in the Hereafter, those who embrace it are the true visionaries. True visionaries do not have any fears, or any limits; they do not succumb to any fear, and know no bounds to devotion, patience and perseverance. As they do not regard themselves as the owners of power, they do not get above themselves, instead they become dignified role models and pioneers of servitude to the true owner of power. This makes their will unyielding and resolute, and their path to their goal non-negotiable.

Those who adopt the true vision, are the true visionaries. They are not leaders because of their charisma, their money, or social circle. Rather they become leaders as a result of the leadership of the visionary idea they embraced. They do not compete with each other; rather they encourage each other, enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong, they gain strength through their unity, always hold on tight to the rope of Allah and call to hold on to it, which makes them statesman, who are witnesses and trustworthy.

We can summarize the qualities that distinguish a visionary leadership from a fake leadership, and thus a trustworthy leader from a deceptive megalomaniac disguised as a leader:

-     They are innovative: They are no copycats of others, but distinguished personalities who are able to create new beneficial solutions and concepts for mankind and earth that ensure sustainable development and progress, while possessing the ability to put these into practice. A visionary leadership is not affected by time, by anyone or anything, rather it is the one who effects every place, everything at every time. Thus; personalities, who possess the visionary leadership, are the ones who concretely envisioned their purpose and goals as if their holding them in their hands; they reject, challenge and overcome ordinary and imposed mindsets. In contrast to those, who pursue worldly gains, these personalities with the visionary leadership, conduct all their deeds fully upon fear of Allah (taqwa), pure and clean commitment (ikhlas), and excellence (ihsan); they do not make any plans, lean towards any strategy or path without the full awareness of their accountability in front of Allah, the Muslims, and all humans.

-     Insight and perception (Firasah): This form of incisive intelligence seen on analytical thinking persons with the ability to understand complex and multi-level relations, reaches a complete different level on the Muslim. Firasah; develops only on the person, who views the world with the Noor (light) of Allah, and is far more than farsightedness of the common people. The person, who sees with the light of Allah, is never content with superficial information and answers; he constantly seeks deepness in issues and analyses them with an enlightened view. He evaluates the obtained information with the measurements set by his Lord, and then takes decisions, which he immediately carries into action. In short; the framework for action for the visionary statesman equipped with Firasah is solely set by the Shar’i rulings.

-     Discernment (Basirah): Being goal-oriented does not limit them to dealing with day-to-day, stopgap solutions; rather, they are solid individuals who possess sound strategies that will lead them to their long-term goals. The only boundaries for the statesman with Basirah is the pleasure of Allah, his ultimate goal is becoming one of the Muflihun (saved and successful) in the Hereafter. He aims for no goal and no value of success, other than the success for this world and the Hereafter determined by Qur’an, Sunnah, The Consensus of the Sahabah (Ijmaa’) and Qiyas (analogy). Being generated by this vision this statesman with discernment (Basirah) regards the failure in achieving the purpose and goal as his biggest loss, moreover his ruin. Moreover, they lead by example with their seriousness, determination, and integrity - motivating and energizing those around them to move toward the greater goal, and courageously alerting others to the threats and dangers that might pull them off course. Yet at the point we have reached, all of humanity has grown profoundly weary of the harm and devastation inflicted by the so-called “forward-thinking” opportunist mindsets of capitalist and other systems of disbelief.

It is necessary to further clarify the difference between leadership and leader: Commonly, leadership is understood as a merit of a charismatic, socially and financially powerful person. However; our Lord did not attribute leadership even to His Messenger (saw), who is Uswat’ul Hasanah. Sure; He titled him the Uswat’ul Hasanah and the Mercy to All Mankind... Yet, He (swt) did not attribute leadership even to His “Habibullah”, His Messenger (saw); but He (swt) defined him as the most distinguished, the worthiest to emulate in carrying His (swt) visionary leadership.

“Muḥammad is no more than a Rasool (messenger); other messengers have gone before him.  So if he was to die or be killed, would you turn back on your heels [to unbelief]?” [Aal-i Imran 144]

This states, that when Allah (swt), who is the Lord of the Worlds, ordered us to emulate His prophet, He ordered us to do it the way that he carried His message - the unique visionary leadership. Because the literal meaning of the word Rasool (Arabic: رسول) is “a person who relays another’s words to someone else exactly as stated, without any right of discretion, alteration, or interpretation”. Thus; Rasool (messenger) is the title, that Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala awards to those, whom He commissions the vision of “delivering the good news and warning” mankind. Accordingly, the Messengers (Rusul; plural of Rasool) do die or where killed, but their message stays alive until the Last Day! And those, who believe in Islam, inherited this glorious mission from Muhammed ar-Rasoll, Sallallahu alayhi wa Sallam, which Allah (swt) ordered them to take up:

[وَهُوَ الَّذ۪ي جَعَلَكُمْ خَلَٓائِفَ الْاَرْضِ وَرَفَعَ بَعْضَكُمْ فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ دَرَجَاتٍ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ ف۪ي مَٓا اٰتٰيكُمْ]

“He is the One Who has placed you as successors on earth and elevated some of you in rank over others, so He may test you with what He has given you.” [Al-An’am 165].

In short; the Muslim Ummah is in need of a sound leadership. This leadership is not an enigma or an illusion or fantasy awaiting its invention. On the contrary; Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala, the Lord of the Worlds, has sent this leadership through His revelation to His Last Prophet, His Last Rasool (messenger), Muhammad Sallallahu aleyhi wa Sallam. This leadership is neither spiritual, nor philosophical, nor scientific, or man-made. This leadership is purely the political management of the people’s affair by Islam itself (the Qur’an and Sunnah). Therefore; each and every Muslim, by virtue of their Iman, is a politician and statesman.

The founder of Hizb ut Tahrir, a scholar, jurisprudent and politician, Taqiuddin An-Nabhani (rm), describes the word “statesman” in his book, “The Political Thinking,” as follows: “The statesman is the creative political leader. He is the person who possesses the ruling mentality and is able to manage the state’s affairs, solve problems and control the private and public relations. This is the statesman. He could be present amongst the people and not be a ruler, nor performing any ruling functions.”

That means; the statesman (politician, the Muslim who carries the leadership of the Islamic vision) can be an active political figure, yet he also has to be one, who holds those on duty to account, who works to establish the leadership that ensures the unity of the Muslim Ummah, who warns the Ummah and the entire mankind against the dangers and the guile of the kufr (disbelieving) systems, who carries and protects the visionary message that leads mankind out of darknesses into light, from the morasses to peaks of prosperity - far more, he becomes the embodiment of that visionary message. This is because, the Ummah and mankind is tired of destructive fake leaders, they deserve the rule and governance under the light of true leadership, they deserve the successful rescue, and peace and tranquillity under sustainable success.

In order for this to come true, we first and foremost need to get rid of those copycat, incapable rulers who cling to ruling by capitalist ideas and solutions instead of those from the Islamic Aqeedah (doctrine), and we must strive to become creative visionary politicians who hold on each other.

Also, we need to get rid of those chained minds that are not able to manage domestic and foreign affairs independently from the colonialist USA, NATO, EU and UN produce, while supporting and strengthening truly free statesmen, who establish the state that governs with the true freedom of the Islamic vision as determined by the provisions of the Shariah.

We must work to raise statesmen, who possess the “sense of responsibility” and “leadership vision” emanating from the Islamic Aqidah in solving the problems of the Ummah and mankind. This work lies only within the capability of a structure, a political party founded upon the settings and orders by Allah Subhanehu wa Ta’ala.

“Let there be a group among you who call others to goodness, encourage what is good, and forbid what is evil—it is they who will be successful.” [Aal-i Imran: 104].

The current state of the world and the Ummah will not be changed by patchwork solutions, but only through a fundamental change. And that fundamental change happens through Islamic political parties, which are established on the Islamic ideology, having the Islamic views and ideas, and acting upon the Islamic provisions. This is, because leadership must be upon an IDEA and not on individuals. For even when individuals change, the idea never changes! The method of visionary politicians in a visionary party is solely the method of Rasulallah Sallallahu aleyhi wa Sallam, i.e. to work upon the Method of the Prophethood. The fact that such a party and such politicians/statesmen derive their maxim from the Qur’an, enables you to closely follow up all of their actions, and to hold them to account, and also to easily rectify them according to Qur’an and Sunnah if necessary. For they only say:

[قُلْ هٰذِه۪ سَب۪يل۪ٓي اَدْعُٓوا اِلَى اللّٰهِ عَلٰى بَص۪يرَةٍ اَنَا۬ وَمَنِ اتَّبَعَن۪يۜ وَسُبْحَانَ اللّٰهِ وَمَٓا اَنَا۬ مِنَ الْمُشْرِك۪ينَ]

“Say: “This is my way of presenting divine inducements to the people, based on clear and comprehensible evidence; inducements which I, in collaboration with those who follow me, use to invite people to the path of Allah; glory to Him, and extolled are His glorious attributes wherefore never do I incorporate with Him other deities”” [Yusuf: 108].

Success is a truth enshrined in the DNA of Iman (faith).

“And so We have made you ˹believers˺ Ummatan WASATAN so that you may be witnesses over humanity and that the Messenger may be a witness over you.” [Al-Baqarah: 143].

The word “witnesses” here describes the most important duty/mission of a visionary politician. Another signification of the word witness is “keeping (close) watch) on someone.” Accordingly, Allah (swt) has assigned the task of watching over the whole of mankind to the Muslim Ummah. Thus, Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala wishes for the Ummah to have the power to govern all of mankind. And that what prevents the Muslim Ummah from becoming immoderate/intemperate and transgressing boundaries is the witnessing, i.e. the watching over and monitoring of Rasulallah Sallallahu aleyhi wa Sallam over the Muslim Ummah. Rasulallah Sallallahu aleyhi wa Sallam has conducted this his duty over the Muslim Ummah by proclaiming and implementing the revelation, and left it to the Ummah as a legacy to be uphold and nourished until the last day. In conclusion; the entire mankind is in urgent need of the Muslim Ummah’s visionary leadership and yearns for it. The reestablishment of this leadership is a promise of Allah Subhanehu wa Ta’ala and the glad tidings of Rasulallah Sallallahu aleyhi wa Sallam.

In sum, the believer (Mu’min) has no reason to be pessimistic. On the contrary, for us as visionary believers, this is the time to work with utmost determination and diligently, more than ever. For a new dawn is breaking for this world. Now it is time for the “witness” heroes of this “Ummatan Wasatan” to lift the curtains and to open wide the windows to let in the morning breeze. They are the true “visionaries” who will bring the truly successful true change!
