From Occupied Base to Base of Liberation

The U.S. has significantly increased its military presence across the Middle East as tensions with Iran intensify. Satellite imagery and flight-tracking data show a major surge of U.S. air power at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan, with the number of aircraft at the base roughly tripling compared with normal levels and transport aircraft movements also rising sharply. This buildup is part of a broader repositioning of forces that includes maintaining two aircraft carrier strike groups in Middle Eastern waters and positioning air-defense systems and other assets across bases in Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and surrounding countries. U.S. Central Command has reinforced air-defense batteries to protect forces against potential Iranian retaliation, while U.S. officials claim the deployment is intended to deter Iran and preserve strategic flexibility amid stalled indirect talks over Iran’s nuclear program.

It is no surprise to see the U.S. military use Jordan as a parking lot and launching pad for its military maneuvers. The U.S. military presence in Jordan is part of a broader pattern of American intervention that has brought nothing but instability and bloodshed across the Muslim world, including Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, and elsewhere. These deployments prioritize U.S. dominance over the safety of local populations, positioning Jordan as a forward Western base in a potential regional confrontation, particularly amid escalating tensions with Iran.

The Jordanian regime works slavishly to subject Muslims to their colonizers, preventing liberation and the defense of occupied lands and stolen resources. It is used by America as nothing more than a pliable tool. The Jordanian regime has long facilitated U.S. military and intelligence presence to preserve its own survival, openly betraying Islam, Muslims, and our sanctities. Accountability before Allah will be severe if this treachery and complicity are ignored or excused.

Let it be known that America is our enemy first and foremost. It recognizes the strategic significance of our lands and exploits it to wage wars of destruction and domination. It is high time we recognize our own military and geographic importance as a foundation for independence and liberation. It is imperative that we work to resume the Islamic way of life via a Khilafah (Caliphate) and put our trust in the hands of Hizb ut Tahrir to turn Jordan into a launching pad for justice, mercy, and liberation.

[وَلَا تَرْكَنُوا۟ إِلَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ فَتَمَسَّكُمُ النَّارُ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ مِنْ أَوْلِيَاءَ ثُمَّ لَا تُنصَرُونَ]

“And do not be inclined to the wrongdoers or you will be touched by the Fire. For then you would have no protectors other than Allah, nor would you be helped.” [Hud 11:113]
