Danish Elections: Another Scandal for Democracy

The parliamentary elections in Denmark have recently concluded and as per usual, Muslims have been at the center of the debates and polemics in media. What has been clear from the election runs during the previous months has been the intensified attention and propaganda about refugees from Muslim countries and Muslims in general. Terms like repatriation and remigration have been normalised in the public discourse.

Comment:

During the elections, Danish politicians have been plagued by scandals among which has been the admitted use of cocaine by the leader of one of the larger Liberal parties, Liberal Alliance.

Another so-called politician who received thousands of personal votes by spewing hatred against migrants in general and specifically Muslims, turned out to be been involved in the sale and use of drugs.

This is apart from what has become the standard fare of Western populist election campaigns consisting of lies, anti-Muslim bigotry and racism.

While these politicians argue about the expulsion of criminals from the country, ironically, several of the same candidates have been involved in criminal activities and fraud themselves.

Meanwhile, the mere presence of Islam and Muslims in the country is broadly discussed as a problem across the political spectrum, and hate-mongering is peddled for cheap votes among an increasingly radicalised voter base.

Faith in the democratic system is at a historic low across the West and the political systems are filled with scandals. The western culture corrupts politics and politicians because material gains, positions of power and exploitation are central to it, where votes and political power is sought by any and all means. Immortality and fraud in politics will continue as the Western world order eats itself from within.

The secular ideals and systems of the West have failed and are unable to lead even its own Western populations in any meaningful direction. The only viable alternative is the system of Islam and its leadership, which must be adopted and carried by the Muslim Ummah globally as comprehensive way of life for all sincere people seeking a new way forward.
