The Colonialist West and the Rulers of Muslims Are Two Jaws of the Same Pincer Movement

The state is the executive body for the collection of values, standards, and concepts of life chosen by a people or an ummah. Therefore, it is expected that the state must be of the same nature as the ummah, and chosen by it, and that it must fulfill its designated role, which is to implement the necessary tasks of governance in a way that leads to the realization of the way of life chosen by the governed. It is also expected to ensure their protection, and the protection of their way of life, and to prevent any disruption that threatens their existence or interests—interests determined by the standards of their civilization.
However, for decades, the Ummah has lived under oppressive and criminal rule, where the ruling state has no connection to its civilization, its standards, or its interests. Instead, it is a reflection of the interests of the disbelieving, colonialist West, and at times of the atheistic, despotic East. It has even been said of our rulers that they are mere watchmen for colonialism, installed over us to implement its plans, and achieve its immediate and strategic interests by undertaking the following:
Firstly: Ensuring that the Ummah does not return to its civilization, its divine Shariah Law, and its unified state, because this threatens Western interests and indeed its entire civilization. This is achieved by suppressing those who make Dawah for the return of Islam to governance, and the establishment of a unified Islamic state, discrediting them to alienate the people from them, and restricting their activities.
Sometimes, this is done by deceiving the masses with the idea that implementing Shariah is impossible, given the country’s current state of weakness, or by using the pretext of cultural, ethnic, and religious differences within society, which they claim prevent the implementation of Islam, and necessitate the application of secularism and man-made laws, aligned with Western concepts. Occasionally, they impose martial law, which is nothing more than the ruler’s whims and desires, ensuring his continued dominance.
Under this heading falls the deception of gradualism and phased implementation, which is instilled in the non-ideological opposition to complete the cycle of emotionally dispositional and intellectual manipulation of the masses. This keeps them trapped in the corrupt reality out of fear of repression, despair of change, or waiting for a vague change that the supposed gradualism might one day bring!
Secondly: Our rulers protect Western material and military interests in our countries from being harmed by our people, ensuring the plundering of our resources and the occupation of our lands by our enemies, with minimal losses. Our states, and their rulers, are keen to ensure our defeat in any conflict with the West imposed upon us, through covert collusion, deception, and blatant audacity, all under the guise of military and security alliances or the War on Terror.
Therefore, the role of security and military apparatuses in Muslim countries is no longer to protect the land and its people, nor to safeguard Islamic values, standards, and civilization from harm. Instead, their focus has shifted to eradicating any threat to Western interests, and suppressing any glimmer of hope that might jeopardize the stability of their guardians in power, all under the pretext of preserving the security and stability of the Ummah! Despite this, the colonialist powers, led by America, no longer trust the effectiveness and competence of the rulers in securing their interests and consolidating their occupation, so they decided to re-invade our country militarily, with dozens of military bases and war airports that have been sitting on our chests for some time now.
Thirdly: The attempt to dismantle Islamic civilization within the hearts of the Islamic Ummah and implant Western civilization and its values in the lives of Muslims is not aimed at reviving our world according to the Western vision of progress. Instead, it is aimed at ensuring the intellectual subservience of the people, paralleling the political subservience of their rulers. Rulers, their media, and hired intellectuals relentlessly carry out this despicable role, casting doubt on the Noble Quran, the Prophetic Sunnah, and Islamic Shariah Law, as well as on the ulema, past and present, who uphold them. They glorify the filth of Western thought, its philosophers, and those among our own people who have been influenced by it, all with the goal of altering the intellectual standards and stances of the people, destroying role models, and dismantling the intellectual and civilizational foundations of Muslims.
Despite their continued failure in this endeavor, they persist in repeating the attempt, hoping to achieve, even if only in stages, what they can: weakening Muslims’ confidence in the established principles of their Islamic civilization throughout its history, and subjecting its certainties to debate and its established foundations to doubt. The decline that the Ummah is witnessing today on all levels is not due to the Ummah’s weakness in terms of civilization, numbers, or equipment, but instead, it is due to the fact that it is caught between the jaws of a vice that stifles its movement and prevents it from progressing, and even threatens further regression.
The Islamic Ummah is a giant in the civilization it embodies; it is an Ummah of truth and righteousness, the best Ummah brought forth for mankind, with its project of tawhid (monotheism), guidance, justice, and mercy. It is a giant in the number of its people and the vigor of its youthful societies. It is the largest and most homogeneous Ummah in the civilizational, intellectual, and political sense. All ethnic, regional, and linguistic differences dissolve before the all-encompassing unity of Islamic brotherhood, a unity unmatched by any other human community. This is especially true since most nations unite on interests, not values; on territory and borders, not on a shared vision; and on mere material urbanity, not conceptualized civilization.
Furthermore, the intellectual and emotionally dispositional strength of Islam is capable of propelling the Ummah to the forefront of the world in record time, as soon as it is liberated from its political constraints and returns to the pure and pristine practice of its Deen. The fear of Allah (swt) and the yearning for His Paradise are the greatest motivators for sincere work in building the Ummah, advancing it rapidly, and defending it with unwavering dedication. The spirit of martyrdom is unique to Muslims, and no other peoples receive congratulations and blessings upon the martyrdom of their sons, nor do the survivors envy the martyrs, except Muslims. Furthermore, Muslims inhabit the richest regions of the world in terms of water resources, fertile lands, and diverse and precious minerals, and possess the most important geography in the world. Allah (swt) bestowed upon them all the means of strength before He created them, and all that is lacking is for them to draw upon the bounty of Allah (swt), and Allah (swt) will increase the blessings of the grateful.
Therefore, the Islamic Ummah must break the jaws of the Western pincers which protect each other. The West protects our agent rulers, and our rulers protect its interests and implement its plans for its benefit. Once the Ummah breaks its rulers, who are the weaker pincer of the two, it will be liberated from the entire Western pincer movement, by the Permission of Allah (swt).
The Ummah must understand that while the price of dignity may seem high, the price of humiliation is far more devastating and costly. It is disgrace in this world and a painful punishment in the Hereafter.
