A veteran journalist of Palestinian descent was fatally shot on Wednesday morning while covering raids in the occupied West Bank for Al Jazeera. The death of Shireen Abu Akleh, a well-known reporter for the broadcast network’s Arabic language channel, sparked immediate outrage in the region and beyond. Social media was flooded with tributes in honour of her outstanding courage, kindness and integrity, as of one of the Arab world’s first female journalists; trailblazing and impacting the global media with her detailed and critical reporting on the Zionist occupation throughout her career.
The Jewish entity is a murderous state, hell bent on the daily slaughter of innocents, in order that it be feared and revered as a supposedly illegitimate state. Their murderous agenda against Muslims is on par with their deadly tactics that target aid workers, humanitarians, the media, and medical personnel.
Some of their deadly offenses in recent years include an aid worker and father of six delivering vegetables to the poor, Mohammed Ibrahim Samouni. He was targeted and killed by a bomb to his home. Also nine Turkish activists were shot and killed on the Mavi Marmara, a part of the flotilla which tried to break the Zionist state’s Gaza blockade in order to deliver food aid and construction materials. Likewise 23 year old American peace activist and humanitarian Rachael Corrie was crushed alive by a bulldozer as she tried to stop Palestinian homes being destroyed. British cameraman James Miller also fell afoul of the vengeful Zionists, after being repeatedly shot in the neck as he filmed in Gaza. Just as cameraman Nazeh Darwazeh aged 45 was killed by a shot to the head as he filmed in Nablus – and Reuters cameraman Fadel Shana was targeted and murdered too. X rays showed several of the controversial weapons known as flechettes, embedded in the 23-year-old Palestinian's chest and legs.
All these victims and the thousands more especially Palestinian and Arab professionals died wearing high-vis jackets and/or were clearly identifiable as ‘PRESS’. However the Zionist military are no less than proud of this bloodbath, and knowing they will never face accountability let alone any consequences, they extend their death rattle to the elderly and even children in the Palestinian towns and villages. Christians too are regularly harassed, detained and tortured, especially by the settlers.
However, as people around the world are saddened by the obvious tragedy of Shireen Abu Akleh’s shocking death and the interruption of her funeral. Qatar offered crocodile tears, lighting up two towers in Doha, in her tribute. The hypocrisy of Qatar in this matter is beyond ridiculous! Despite Qatar being home to Al Jazeera, it is simultaneously a key player within the Zionist state’s wider middle East agenda- mediating for the Jewish state between the West Bank and Gaza.
The Qatari emissary's efforts during Ramdan were to ensure that the protests against the Zionist state’s brutality did not spread to the Gaza Strip. Two weeks ago, Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held two phone conversations, one with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and the other with the head of the Hamas political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, calling on both to prevent an escalation in protests; in other words to stop the people of Palestine from confronting the Jewish state, calling out its oppression, defending their Deen, their land and themselves – and instead wilfully succumbing to the occupation!
The only way to achieve justice and freedom from the Zionist entity’s aggression is through the implementation of Islam via the Khilafah state because the Islamic Khilafah will consider it a duty to defend the lives, honor and rights of Muslims and non Muslims in Palestine. This will happen because the Khilafah is the only system of governance with detailed laws and an inherent political will, which will be able to challenge and overturn the poisonous Zionist entity, delivering them a fatal blow - and once again illuminating the entire region with a return to peace and security.
