 On the commemoration of the 105th anniversary of the destruction of the Khilafah (Caliphate) State that occurred on Rajab 1342 AH / March 1924 CE, yesterday, Sunday, 29 Rajab 1447 AH / 18 January 2026 CE, Hizb ut Tahrir / Tanzania held a short seminar at Masjid Taqwa, Ilala Bungoni in the city of Dar es Salaam.

On 18 January 2026, a brief press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that US President Donald Trump has invited Shehbaz Sharif to join the proposed “Board of Peace” for Gaza. According to other reports, the Prime Minister of the Hindu state, Modi, has also been extended a similar invitation. This is the same proposed board under Trump’s 20-point plan, 

The Ministry of National Defense issued a statement regarding the Tunisian-American talks held on Wednesday, January 14th, 2026, between the Minister of National Defense, Khaled Sehili, and the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for African Affairs, Brian J. Ellis, in the presence of the US Ambassador to Tunisia, Bill Bazzi, and several officials from both sides.
