The Supreme Court has dismissed the application to review the Hijab case which was filed to quash a directive from St Paul Kiwanjani School to ban Muslim students from wearing the Hijab. The ruling has upheld the initial ruling made in January last year which set aside the court of appeal verdict which had sanctioned the wearing of Hijab in schools.

President Uhuru Kenyatta and Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga on Tuesday 26, November 2019, officially received the Building Bridges Initiave Report from the BBI task force. BBI was gazetted on May 24th, 2018 following the March 8 Unity Pact between President Uhuru and Mr. Odinga after the political fallout during the August 2017 general election.
It is past 72 hours (from 18:15 hours on Sunday, 29 September 2019), and the bodies of 35-year-old Mariam Kigenda and her daughter are yet to be retrieved. Mariam's vehicle reversed and plunged into the Indian Ocean on Sunday 29th September, 2019 at 1815hrs. We wish to convey our deepest condolences to friends and relatives of Mariam Kigenda.
