Protest in front of the French Embassy

Hizb ut Tahrir / Denmark is organizing a protest in front of the French Embassy in Copenhagen today, Friday 30/10/2020.

The event is a statement that we Muslims will not accept scorn, mockery and ridicule of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and Islamic sanctities, which French political leaders repeatedly have urged for.

Furthermore, we protest against France's anti-Islamic policy, which i.e. consists of bans on Islamic dress and Islamic symbols, arbitrary raids on the addresses of arbitrary Muslims, anti-Islamic rhetoric and propaganda, warfare in Muslim countries, forced closure of mosques, deportations and arrests of politically active non-violent Muslims. France acts as a true police state.

This aggressive anti-Muslim policy is led by France, with the arrogant President Macron, while he hypocritically speaks of freedom of speech, which clearly does not apply to Muslims, but only to those who want to demonize and persecute Muslims. This stigmatization led by politicians has resulted in a hostile anti-Islamic atmosphere in society.

As an example of this, two veiled Muslim women were stabbed at Eiffel Tower last week, 22/10/2020. However, this cowardly attack was not condemned by French politicians or given any significant attention in the Western media.

The French politicians, on the other hand, were quick to condemn the knife attack in the Church of Nice yesterday, which Macron even described as “Islamist terror”! He even demands an unequivocal condemnation from all French Muslims of this un-Islamic act that has nothing to do with Islam, while he, in comparison, has only described France's killings of 10 million Algerian during the French colonization of Algeria as a “mistake”!

We, in Hizb ut Tahrir / Denmark, call on Muslims to be active, politically and intellectually for Islam and against the anti-Islamic political course pursued by the governments of Western countries.

We condemn the killing of civilians, in particular mass killings and mass assaults, committed by Western states, not least France, in their military campaigns in Muslim countries.

We also denounce France's hostile policy towards Islam, and from the rulers in the Muslim countries, who uses the honored name of the Prophet (peace be upon him) to score cheap points and remove the focus from their betrayals, corruption and neglect of Muslims' rights.

We call on all Muslims to stand firm on their unconditional loyalty to Islam and the Prophet Muhammad, and we are working for a political solution in the form of an Islamic Caliphate (Khilafah) in the Muslim world that will represent Muslims worldwide as well as protect the sanctities, symbols and Prophet of Islam (peace be upon him).
