Hizb ut Tahrir / Kenya Official Launching of Comprehensive Campaign under the Slogan: BBI Old Game New Strategy
Hizb ut Tahrir / Kenya is pleased to launch officially a Comprehensive Campaign that will run for three months on the theme: "BBI Old Game New Strategy” commencing on Saturday 15th February 2020 ending 24th May 2020.
The Building Bridges Initiative Report (BBI) gazetted on 24th May 2018 and made open to public on November last year for public engagement, has been deemed as a ‘New Dawn’ imagined that will bring inclusivity, economic revolution and deal with cronyism and corruption-chronic which have recurrent crises facing Kenya more than a half century. The BBI, which has already created divisions within the political class, comes barely ten years since the promulgation of the new Constitution that introduced newly devolved system of Government and yet the country faces the same problems.
This campaign aims at highlighting the root cause of all crises facing the Kenya and the world at large which is none other than Capitalism and its political system of Democracy that prioritize the interests of political elites who arrogantly leave out many struggling in their lives. It will also present the strength of the Islamic creed in binding together a society permanently to be a unified nation all being the servants of Allah (swt) as well as addressing all economic, political and social challenges facing not only Kenyan society but the whole humanity.
In realizing this Campaign, Hizb ut Tahrir / Kenya will organize a number of events including public talks in different venues, street walking, holding seminars with prominent academics and intellectuals amongst other activities.
In conclusion, we call on the Ummah in general especially the Muslim Ummah to participate with us in this noble campaign that we intend to present widely which will aid us in this Dunya and Akhira.
