Final Statement of Hizb ut Tahrir’s Conference on the Anniversary of the Destruction of the Khilafah "Caliphate"

“The Ummah Between Violence and Defeat”

The conference held by Hizb ut Tahrir/ Wilayah of Lebanon on 30th Rajab 1438 AH corresponding to 27/4/2017 CE, on the 96th anniversary of the destruction of the Khilafah "Caliphate"; the Muslims' protection, and the one that raises their banner; the state that looks after the affairs of the Muslims with the rules of Islam and carries Islam to the world with Dawah and Jihad.

This conference will take place amidst the strong waves that surrounds the Ummah and the sincere workers of its sons, and amidst violent tremors that strike the sides and even the depth of this Ummah; to form a stream of blood and dead body pieces, displacement and destruction. And a look at what is happening in the world shows that the deepest and probably all of the problems, even the most severe, is where there is Islam and Muslims.

This conference is taking place, and the nations have descended and gathered upon us with all their names, both near and far, as the predators have fallen into their prey, so it is correct to say that this Ummah have become like orphans on the banquet of the villains.

The colonial kaffir West recognized the power of the Ummah early on, and it gave it a fatal blow the day when its demolished its state and its protecting entity the "Khilafah "Caliphate""... and it colonized the country and the people. But this colonial kaffir West was surprised at every turn with the Ummah, that all its efforts were shattered by the youth of the Ummah who value Deen and Ummah, and they sacrificed their bodies in conflicts with light equipment confronting the most powerful military machinery; their bodies and their chests were the last shield to repel these attacks. The colonized West realized that there is still life remaining in the heart of this Ummah, even if its body showed fatigue and inaction, so the West chose another approach to take away all the youth’s energies, leaving them with no clear objective, except for fighting for the sake of fighting and violence for the sake of violence; so it brought in its, its apparatus to distort and contain and exploit, drawing the Ummah into a cycle of violence and counter-violence, and then the Kaffir West and its collaborators pointed the (terrorism) sword on the necks of this Ummah and its youth.

So the Ummah, especially its youth, found themselves between two options, they mistakenly thought that there was no third:

Either they enter into the cycle of fighting and violence using Islamic terms, and get charged with terrorism, imprisonment and oppressionor to be intellectually defeated, and accept a changed modern Islam, or to be politically defeated, and accept to be a secular Muslim.

This is why in this conference we present the discussion on "The Ummah between Violence and Defeat" to the Muslims in general and to the youth of this Ummah in particular, to say that a third proposal was and still exist, on the basis of a clear and specific purpose and a work based on previous thought resulting from the sensation of the reality of this Ummah.

The presentation of this conference was based on this perception and understanding, which we ask Allah (swt) to make it bear blessed fruits blessed.

The conference addresses the following key areas:

First: To show that intimidating people and bringing them into the cycle of violence is not the method of Prophethood.

Second: Refuting the concept of intellectual and political defeatism... and emphasizing that the method of Prophethood is the clear presentation and elaborate message.

Third: Hizb ut Tahrir adopted the method of Prophethood, and drew the straight line next to the crooked lines.

In conclusion, the conference affirms the following:

First: The choice of killing, destruction and bloodshed unjustly, and terrorizing Muslims and others is not the method of Prophethood, but it is imposed by injustice and coercion, especially from the apparatus of tyrants and those behind them. The message of Islam is a mercy for the worlds, but this will manifest itself in its pure form except in the state of Islam; the righteous Khilafah "Caliphate" on the method of Prophethood.

Second: The intellectual and political defeatism, and the submission to the requirements of the kaffir colonizing West under the claims of democracy and modernity, are not from the method of Prophethood, the Islamic thought challenges every thought and every opinion, Allah instilled in it the proof and arguments, from the time of our master Muhammad (saw) till the Last day.

Third: To alert the ruling authority in Lebanon and others not to use these two methods as an excuse to strike at Islam and its people, either by the stick of terrorism and oppression or by attempts to dilute the image of Islam and its uniqueness as a creed, system and method.

Fourth: To encourage the youth to take their real and serious role in the march of this Ummah, for the generation that carried the call with the Messenger of Allah (saw) in Mecca and upon their shoulders the first Islamic State in the city Madinah was established, were between the ages of fifteen and forty. The youth years are not meant to be spent in forbidden past-times and games, but upon their shoulders, nations and civilizations are built.

Fifth: To emphasize that the real battle is always with the colonial Kaffir West represented by the capitalist states today, headed by America, and that this conflict will not be achieved except by a state to the face the states and ensures security for its citizens, and prepare the armies and carries Islam as the Truth and justice. Moreover, it fulfills, by the permission of Allah, the promise of its Prophet (saw) the opening of Rome as it opened Constantinople, Allah willing.

Sixth: The need for the workers on the Islamic scene to realize that their enemy only sees them as its Muslim enemy, regardless of appeasements or closeness (to the West), it will not change at all the original image held by this spiteful West. Therefore, in origin we must adhere to the clear principles of Islam and carry Islam with strength as a call and state. We in Hizb ut Tahrir have painted the full picture of the state and what remains by Allah's permission is that Allah fulfills His promise to his servants and put this vision, Allah willing, into practice, so hurry and join the good that we invite you to.

Seventh: to call every sincere person to extend his hand to support the sincere workers, especially in these harsh conditions and miserable events that descend on the Ummah, which has no one but Allah, and the work of serious and dedicated workers, with a specific purpose and a clear path.

Our thanks are to all those who helped organize this conference by word, deed, opinion and supplication, and we ask Allah (swt) to make it in the balance of their good deeds on the day that no money or sons will benefit, but only the one who meets Allah with a sincere heart benefits.

We ask Allah to grant us, you, and the Muslim Ummah, His (swt) victory soon, and lift the hardship soon, this is easy for Allah to accomplish, Indeed, Allah will accomplish His purpose. Allah has already set for everything a [decreed] extent.
