News: The 2021 Malacca state election was held on the 20th of November 2021. This election was called prematurely due to a ‘political crisis’ which came about when four assembly members casted a no confidence vote against the incumbent Chief Minster, Sulaiman Md Ali and withdrew their support for him.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has initiated work on the technical aspects of e-voting after the country’s parliament passed the electronic voting and voting right for Pakistanis living abroad in the next general elections in 2023.

On 23 November 2021, Pakistan’s President, Arif Alvi, announced the willingness of his government for increased cooperation with the Syrian regime of Bashar al-Assad. President Alvi declared that Pakistan’s government attaches great importance to its relations with Syria. He confirmed that Pakistan’s rulers want to further promote and strengthen bilateral cooperation with the brotherly country in all areas of mutual interest.

Thousands of people, mostly from Iraq, Syria and Yemen are at the Belarus border with Poland, enduring freezing conditions in the hope of crossing into the EU. Currently there are approximately 2000 people in makeshift camps where women and children are at risk of dying of exposure.
