During his recent trip, the US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation, Zalmay Khalilzad has handed a draft of the interim government plan in Afghanistan with the Afghan government and a number of Afghan political leaders. This ten-page draft plan envisions several possible scenarios concerning the formation of ‘interim government of peace’.

 The Global Hunger Report gives Kenya a score of 23.7, which lists it among 40 countries with a serious risk of hunger. The scores range between 0-100, with countries with lower figures having low levels of hunger. By that score, Kenya, and much of the world is behind the aspiration to eradicate hunger by 2030,

The British Supreme Court judgment in Shamima Begum’s case offers little resolution to an issue our government wishes would go away. While the court deferred to the home secretary’s decision to bar Begum from returning to Britain, it offered no solution to the intractable problem of her continued detention in a dangerous and unstable Kurdish-run camp in Syria. The Punjab Text Book Board has introduced a new No-Objection Certificate (NOC) criterion for hundreds of private publishers who have been printing and publishing learning and teaching materials for the schools of Punjab.
