On the 4th of June, a boat containing 81 Rohingya refugees, including 49 women and 11 children washed up on the shores of Idaman Island, off the coast of the Aceh Province of Indonesia, after drifting for more than 100 days at sea. Nine died aboard the boat during its hazardous journey.

The Samarkand Regional Court upheld the decision regarding local resident Asliddin Khudoyberdiev, who was sentenced to 15 days of arrest for illegally teaching religion to underage children, - his lawyer Abduvokhid Yakubov informed Ozodlik media outlet. Joe Biden recently announced his $715 billion defense budget for the 2022 fiscal year, which also included $3.3 billion in aid to Afghan forces. The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) increased the price of super petrol by Ksh3.56 ($0.03) per litre while that of diesel and kerosene remain unchanged for the period May 15 to June 14. The latest price review pushes the price per litre of super petrol in Nairobi to Ksh126.37 ($1.18) while that of diesel and kerosene remain unchanged at Ksh107.66 ($1) and Ksh97.85 ($0.91), respectively.
