Leaked Government Documents Reveal China’s Oppression of Uighur Muslims

The BBC and Guardian newspapers in Britain have reported that leaked documents detail for the first time China's systematic brainwashing of hundreds of thousands of Muslims in a network of high-security prison camps. The investigation has found new evidence which undermines Beijing's claim that the detention camps, which have been built across Xinjiang in the past three years, are for voluntary re-education purposes to counter extremism.

On November 7, 2019, five men were sentenced to prison and caning by the Selangor Syariah High Court for attempting to engage in unnatural same sex conduct. Their story has received the attention of a liberal activist, Numan Afifi who wrote a prepared statement on his twitter account in support of the five accused men.
