World leaders mourned the death of former Zimbabwean President Robert Gabriel Mugabe who died in Singapore on 6th September 2019 aged 95. Mugabe's successor, President Emerson Mnangagwa, in announcing Mugabe's death, praised him as an "icon of liberation."

UN Human Rights Council in Geneva on Tuesday, lawyer Hamid Sabi presented the findings of the China Tribunal, an independent tribunal on allegations of forced organ harvesting. It concluded that there was clear evidence China had been extracting organs from, and thereby killing, [including Uighur Muslims]

At the time this article was written, the haze in Kuala Lumpur was on the verge of recovery. Kuala Lumpur's API (Air Pollution Index) readings dropped from over 200 to about 80. Most areas in Malaysia have also experienced reduction in API over the week. Although haze has generally improved in the country, southwestern monsoon will begin very soon, ‘promising’ that the haze will persist and may get worse.
