French President Emmanuel Macron has announced his intention to set-up “hotspots” to handle asylum requests in Libya, where thousands are fleeing fighting in the country.He said he hopes the plan will deter people from taking “crazy risks” and attempting the perilous journey across the Mediterranean. Banning Hizb ut Tahrir Indonesia will not Slow Down the Establishment of the Khilafah!

On the 19th of July 2017, the government of Indonesia officially revoked the legal status of Hizb ut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI) and declared HTI as an illegal organization. The ban was executed under a controversial presidential decree, known as PERPPU, that gives officials the authority to disband organisations deemed to threaten ‘national unity’ and the principles of ‘Pancasila’.

The Battle for Mosul

On July 9, the Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi declared victory in Mosul after the city was finally retaken from ISIS. It was only three years ago, in June 2014, around 1,500 fighters from ISIS routed a force over 20 times its size (surrender) and captured Iraq's second-largest city.
