The British government stated on its official website www.gov.uk, “Hizb ut-Tahrir has been proscribed today (19 January), making it a criminal offence to belong to the group, or invite support for it.”

The British Parliament approves plans to classify the Islamic Political Group Hizb ut-Tahrir as a terrorist organization. This move comes following the group's participation in organizing marches in London, especially alongside pro-Palestinian marches during the conflict between ‘Israel’ and Hamas. Both the House of Commons and the House of Lords supported these plans, paving the way for the immediate implementation of the ban.

Abu Dhabi has opened its first Alcohol production facility in the UAE. Permits have been issued for this trade. The UAE suspended the 30% taxation on alcohol products. Licensing rules for outlets have also been eased. The justification for this, is to boost the tourism industry and create financial diversity and cultural inclusion.

Pakistan’s army media wing, in its press release No PR-18/2024-ISPR, stated, “In early hours of 18 January 2024, Pakistan carried out effective strikes against hideouts inside Iran used by terrorists responsible for recent attacks in Pakistan. The precision strikes were carried out using killer drones, rockets, loitering munitions and stand-off weapons.
