Rohingya refugees facing persecution in Myanmar are enduring perilous sea journeys to reach Indonesia's Aceh province. The recent surge in arrivals, exceeding 1,600 since November, strains Aceh's historical hospitality towards Rohingya refugees. Villagers, traditionally welcoming, have attempted to tow boats back to sea, signalling a departure from past practices.
Doctors in Palestine are increasingly reporting injuries and symptoms that they have never seen before. One example is that of 13-year-old Ziad Yaseen, who was shot by an IDF sniper bullet, and then his skin progressively fell apart. Medical staff are saying that an unknown weapon was used against him.

On Tuesday, 12/12/2023, the death of the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Najib Al-Awj was announced; the minister in the government of the so-called legitimate government, in the city of Abu Dhabi. It is noteworthy that Dr. Al-Awj is a native of Ibb Governorate. He obtained his higher education in Moscow in the early 1990s and has held training courses in London, Britain. He has held previous government positions.
Kenya marked 60 years of ‘independence’ on Tuesday, 12th December 2023. The day is observed annually on December 12, marking the day in 1963 when Kenya gained its so-called independence from British colonial rule.
As of 9th December, 2023, the death toll from a recent landslide on Mount Hanang in Manyara Region, Tanzania rose to 85. Apart from a great number of deaths, this landslide caused numerous houses to be buried or swept away, infrastructures damages and displacement of local population.
