Lessons from Catalonia’s secession

Spain’s richest region, Catalonia, held its independence referendum on October 1st. The results showed 43% of the region’s electorate that voted, 90% voted for independence. The 2014 referendum had a similar turnout, and 81% voted for independence in the non-binding referendum. Ever since the vote Catalan Independence remains uncertain.

The Incident in Rudaki with a Foul-Mouthed Official: An Incident or Regularity?

Recently, a video was posted in social networks, filmed by the worshipers of the mosque in the village of Choryakkoron in the Rudaki district. The video recording caused a great resonance in the media and gave rise to resentment among the residents of the country because it shows how one of the Tajik officials, who was in the courtyard of the mosque, insulted the worshippers with obscene words and demanded the closure of the mosque.
