Anadolu Ajansi wrote on 29/04/2015 under the title: "The fight against the Parallel structure will continue with determination":

The National Security Council (MGK) convened under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan that emphasized the determined continuation of the fight against the parallel structure and illegal formations. The written statement released after the regular NSC meeting in April under the chairmanship of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan reported that discussions held at the last meeting contained the developments regarding the peace and security of the people during the two month period since the last meeting held on the 26th of February 2015 till today. The statement expressed the necessity of focussing on security measures in all public institutions and organizations. Members of the MGK were briefed in detail concerning "the parallel state structure". "Detailed information concerning the fight against the parallel state structure and illegal formations were presented and emphasis was put on resuming the fight with determination," it added.

As is known, the conflict between the AKP government and the Fethullah Gülen movement that went on in a closed manner previously had come up in a very obvious way at the end of the year 2013 (17-25 December). Being founded and moving into power at the following general elections in 2001, the AKP who received unlimited support from its best friend the Gülen group in setting up its cadre and making media campaigns, supposed to carry Turkey conjointly to a point which would be more democratic, more liberal, with a superior jurisdiction and where dialogue would be welcome. In the past there were periods of coups in Turkey, where military domination oppressed civil politics, and where the will of the people was disregarded and democracy did not exist. In the past there was the law of those in power in Turkey. The judiciary and the judges decided according to the will of those in power, people could not claim their rights. There was torture, oppression, unlawful conviction and persecution. Coming into power, AK Party settled the scores with all of them.

And the AKP's biggest support in this revenge was the Fethullah Gülen group, skilled in secretly setting up cadres in state institutions. Because this group had given importance in training and staffing these trained persons in the most influential institutions of the state since its earliest years. The police intelligent department and the judiciary were on top of these institutions. The Gülen group had almost complete control over the police and the judiciary institutions and took hold of them. This was not the case for the AKP. It had no own staffing structure as some of its managers came from the Milli Görüş tradition, some from Özal's Anavatan Party and others were mixed from different areas.

So there was the AKP that had ensured the people's support through rulers like Erdogan on the one side, and on the other side there was the Gülen group that constituted the deep and secret structure within the state... These cooperating two structures had launched a huge ware against the English structure of nationalists and military tutelage in 2008. This war should constitute the last link in the struggle of totally liquidating the English structure and giving total control to the American structure. During that war the AKP and the Gülen community formed an alliance and marched together. Of course this war did not reflect to the public as an American-English fight as we wrote it here. To the public, it was more reflected as the ending of the "tutelage of the pro-coup and pro-junta mindset". This was shown as the historical settling of scores with those who disregarded the people, who suppressed the people with the law of the power-owners, who condemned the people to poverty and ignored freedoms. This is how media presented the issue. The AKP's and Gülen community's task unity was presented to the public in the following way: Those days, not everybody saw the task unity of "Revenge for the tutelage" as an agreement in serving the interests of America.

However this task unity (collaboration) broke down in December 2013 without any prospect of being repaired. Corporate, personal and communal interests clashed. The December 17-25 corruption and bribery operations revealed everything. And suddenly we recognized that nothing was different from the old. Surprisingly the new hands were as dirty as the old hands. In fact, there had not taken place a clean hands operation at all. Those who stole before stole without providing a service, whereby those today, provide a service.

And suddenly we recognized the law was under the feet. In aiming the elimination of the English structure, the government had left the control over judiciary and police totally to the monopoly of a group. And those in return, trialled, judged, oppressed and slandered regardless of rights and laws, and created criminals through producing evidences. Of course, beforehand they picked up any organized criminal gangs on the streets and on the arena in order to carry out the process in a sound manner. Because it was probable that the nationalist structure might generate chaotic sensational actions to disturb the stability. And organized gangs constituted a threat as powder barrels on the streets. It would be easier to liquidate the tutelage system after cleaning the arena. Thus, in accordance with the fight-against-terrorism-agreement of the AKP with the US, it was free to persecute the Muslims through the hands of the Cemaat. During the 12 years of its governance thousands of Muslims were trialled and imprisoned under the accusation of terrorism. The AKP-Gülen community (cemaat) association (cooperation) was virtually taking revenge from the pro-coup and pro-junta mindsets. And that was the reason why all the other conservative Islamic groups kept silent. Anyone who dared to say something was targeted as mischief maker seeking to destabilize the working stability. Everybody turned to a etatist in the vortex of this magic cooperation. Even the Islamists...

Upon the 17-25 December events, the Justice and Development Party (AKP) declared that the Cemaat ignored the Justice (written) in its (AKP's) name. So it unveiled page-by-page all the unlawful proceedings and conspiracies that the Cemaat conducted via its police and judicial institutions. Because, if the AKP had not done this, the Cemaat would have dished all the AKP rulers' dirty relationships sheet by sheet. Whereby we cannot say that it had not done this, ofcourse. During this process, although the USA did not express clearly its support to any of the both sides - as the maintenance of its own interests is essential - it preferred to protect the system, namely its political aspect, the AKP and the government.

Therefore it was no one else than the USA who strengthened Erdogan's hands against the Cemaat in the wake of the 17-25 December operations. If the USA wanted to, Erdogan and the AKP would have disappeared after 17-25 December. This is why today the Cemaat who is the architect of all operations until December 2013 under the name of fight-against-terror-association, has been put on the black list as the "parallel structure threatening national security" at the NSC meeting. Whereas the AKP and Erdogan through the hands of the Cemaat had declared hundreds of innocent Muslims terrorists and condemned them to the dungeons until very recently. The expression of "the fight against the parallel structure, and other illegal organizations that threaten national security" in the above-mentioned news is striking. Everybody knows very well that the Cemaat does not threaten the security of the State. It might constitute a probable threat to some of the AKP leaders' political future, however; the Cemaat has never had and will never have an ideology and idea that would threaten the State's security. This is very well-known by the USA, and Erdogan and the AKP. Therefore it is not the Gülen Cemaat that is meant with illegal organisations. This expression therefore intends at Hizb ut Tahrir and the other Islamic movements. Hizb ut Tahrir has never embraced the structure of the secular Republic of Turkey, and instead it worked to replace this structure by the Khilafah "Caliphate".

This is why today hundreds of Hizb ut Tahrir members received very heavy penalties by the hands of the judiciary during the AKP rule. Members of the Cemaat, with whom the AKP cooperated, within the police and judicial institutions have decreed members of Hizb ut Tahrir unlawfully. If the AKP was sincere, it would have declared these decrees unlawful. It would have liberated the imprisoned innocent Muslims. But it has not and will not do this. Because the AKP has become a state now. The AKP now represents the system of the Republic of Turkey. Just as Ataturk's party represented the state in its enmity towards Islam and Muslims, now the AKP system founded by Erdogan represents the state. The system that until yesterday liquidated the English tutelage by the hands of the men of the Fethullah Gülen group, now liquidates the Cemaat for conducting the corruption and bribery operations. And through whose hands? Through the hands of the newly staffed etatist, nationalist judges and police... Those whom it called terror experts yesterday, are today trialled for membership in a terrorist organization. At the end, this way the secular republic is being preserved. And sooner or later those who served this system are left aside. And tomorrow the fate of the AKP and its rulers will not be different than that of those today.

EU Minister says Turkey's EU bid on pause due to Cyprus issue

EU Minister and Chief Negotiator Volkan Bozkir said on Thursday that Turkey's EU membership bid has been at a standstill because of the Cyprus issue. Accession talks began in 2005 but negotiations hit a stalemate in 2007 because of Turkey's position on the Cyprus issue and German and French opposition at the time.

"If we had a mentality of sacrificing the Turkish Cypriots, we would now probably have become an EU member," Bozkir said in a live TV interview on Turkey's state broadcaster TRT on Thursday evening.
Turkey is the only nation to recognize Turkish Cyprus while the majority of the international community recognizes Greek Cyprus, which is an EU member.

Bozkir said Turkey had to slow down its EU membership bid in order to preserve Turkish Cypriots and their rights.
He took the opportunity to say he had congratulated the new president of Turkish Cyprus, Mustafa Akinci, on his win Sunday.
Relations between Akinci and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had gotten off to a rocky start when the latter criticized the former's remarks on the relationship between their two countries.

Akinci, who won with more than 60 percent of the vote, said that rather than viewing Turkey as the "motherland," his country wanted "brotherly" ties with Ankara. This drew a swift rebuke from Erdogan who told Akinci that he had to "watch his words."
Erdogan said that Turkey had made investments worth over $1 billion in Turkish Cyprus and pointed out that Turkish soldiers had died to secure the region.

Bozkir said Akinci's remarks were "unfortunate," adding that he wished Akinci would come to Turkey.
"Here we can develop a common strategy," he said. "He can sit at the negotiation table [with the Greek part of the island] with powerful backing from Turkey. Hopefully, the Cyprus problem can be solved."

Cyprus has been divided since a Greek Cypriot coup to unite the island with Greece was thwarted by a Turkish military intervention in 1974.
Negotiations between Turkish and Greek Cyprus resumed after a two-year pause in February 2013, but Greek Cyprus suspended negotiations after Turkey sent a hydrocarbon exploration vessel off Greek Cyprus' southern coast October last year. Turkey later called back the ship.
Turkey applied for EU membership in 1987. To gain membership, Turkey must successfully conclude negotiations with the EU in 35 policy areas, or chapters, which include reforms and the adoption of European standards. So far 14 chapters have been opened while 17 remain blocked and another four have yet to be discussed. [Source: Daily Sabah]

Turkish rulers will never give up trying to ingratiate themselves to European countries. Turkey's place is not near a Christian unity. Its place is the top of an Islamıc unity that the Prophet (saw) called al-Khilafah "Caliphate".

Turkey, US to start train-and-equip program for Syrian opposition next week

The train-and-equip program for moderate Syrian opposition forces will begin on May 9, Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu told Daily Sabah. On Feb. 19, Turkey and the U.S. inked a deal to train and equip moderate Syrian opposition forces with the aim of achieving a political transformation in war-torn Syria on the basis of the Geneva Communique. However, due to the transportation of weaponry and forming fighting units taking time, the program will start three months after the signing of the agreement. "There isn't any political or other issue. At first, 300 people will be trained, followed by the next 300 and, at the end of the year, the number of trained and equipped fighters will reach 2,000," Cavusoglu said. He further added that the U.S. and Turkey share the view of a Syria without President Bashar Assad.
"But for now, the fight against ISIS [Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham] is a priority for the U.S.," Cavusoglu said, adding that the trained and equipped Syrian opposition groups will fight both the Assad regime and ISIS.

Turkey had already trained and equipped 1,600 Peshmerga fighters from the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) of northern Iraq. He added that since the formation of a new government in Iraq, relations have strengthened with Baghdad.

About 2,200 individuals have been identified to be vetted for the train-equip program to help Syrian opposition fighters, the U.S. said in March. "We've begun the pre-screening process of compiling biographical data on more than 400 of these potential recruits," Pentagon Spokeswoman Elissa Smith said. The Pentagon said in February that it had identified 1,200 opposition fighters to be vetted. Commander of the American Special Operations Forces in the Middle East, Major General Michael Nagata, and his team, have been working to select and screen members of moderate Syrian opposition groups for the program.

Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey agreed to help opposition groups not only fight ISIS, but also battle the forces loyal to the regime. The agreement with Saudi Arabia and Qatar is still being worked out, but the U.S. and Turkey already signed a deal in February to train and equip moderate Syrian opposition forces.

Cavusoglu had said in February: "The aim of the program is to ensure a political transition and strengthen the opposition in their fight against threats such as extremism, terrorism and all elements that pose a threat to the opposition, including from the [Syrian] regime."
In line with the agreement, the Syrian opposition forces will be trained in the central Anatolian province of Kirikkale, National Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz said in early March.

The Free Syrian Army has long been asking for more assistance in its fight against the Assad regime. There has been heavy fighting recently in northern Syria. The FSA still control parts of Aleppo, though government and its allied forces have been closing in. Turkey has continuously expressed that a comprehensive strategy that includes safe and no-fly zones in Syria along with training opposition groups, is necessary for a permanent solution in the war in the neighboring country. Time has come for Turkish rulers to choose their side. Are you with secular American supported so called "moderate opposition" or the opposition that wants al-Khilafah "Caliphate" Rashidah ala Minhajin Nubuwwah (on the method of the Prophethood).

Everybody is focusing on Taksim Square

Turkish police have clashed with protesters defying a ban and attempting to march on Istanbul's Taksim Square.
Tear gas filled the air and water cannon was used to chase off protesters as thousands of police manned barricades and closed streets to prevent the May Day demonstrators from reaching the square, which was the scene of widespread protests in 2013.
Istanbul's governor said that around 203 people had been arrested.

It comes two months after parliament passed a controversial bill giving police more powers to crack down on demos.
Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan condemned the protesters actions saying:
"Everybody is focusing on Taksim square. If you insist on going there with 10,000 people and hold a rally, this is not a commemoration. This is creating chaos and we don't see good intentions here."

Critics say that President Tayyip Erdogan's government has become more authoritarian ahead of June elections. [Source: Euronews]
Muslims have only two Eids: Eid Al Fitr and Eid al Adha. No other holiday were being celebrated until the destruction of the Khilafah "Caliphate". But now we have too much holydays imported from other cultures / hadara. Like Mayday or suchlike.
