Free Syrian Army Rebels Defect to Jabhat al-Nusra:

Syria's main armed opposition group, the Free Syrian Army (FSA), is losing fighters and capabilities to Jabhat al-Nusra, an Islamist organisation that is emerging as the best-equipped, financed and motivated force fighting Bashar al-Assad's regime. Evidence of the growing strength of al-Nusra, gathered from Guardian interviews with FSA commanders across Syria, underlines the dilemma for the US, Britain and other governments as they ponder the question of arming anti-Assad rebels. John Kerry, the US Secretary of State, said that if negotiations went ahead between the Syrian government and the opposition - as the US and Russia proposed on Tuesday - "then hopefully [arming the Syrian rebels] would not be necessary". Illustrating their plight, FSA commanders say that entire units have gone over to al-Nusra while others have lost a quarter or more of their strength to them recently. "Fighters feel proud to join al-Nusra because that means power and influence," said Abu Ahmed, a former teacher from Deir Hafer who now commands an FSA brigade in the countryside near Aleppo. "Al-Nusra fighters rarely withdraw for shortage of ammunition or fighters and they leave their target only after liberating it," he added. "They compete to carry out martyrdom [suicide] operations." Abu Ahmed and others say the FSA has lost fighters to al-Nusra in Aleppo, Hama, Idlib and Deir al-Zor and the Damascus region. Ala'a al-Basha, commander of the Sayyida Aisha Brigade, warned the FSA Chief of Staff General Salim Idriss about the issue last month. Basha said 3,000 FSA men have joined al-Nusra in the last few months, mainly because of a lack of weapons and ammunition. FSA fighters in the Banyas area were threatening to leave because they did not have the firepower to stop the massacre in Bayda, he said.

Karzai: America Wants to Keep Nine Bases in Afghanistan:

Afghan President Hamid Karzai vowed on Thursday to wring concessions from the United States in negotiations to sign a security pact, saying Washington wanted to retain nine military bases in the country. After more than 11 years of US-led military intervention in Afghanistan, the two countries are hammering out a deal to allow a limited US troop presence to remain after the international coalition leaves next year. The size of the "residual" force has not been agreed, with numbers ranging from 2,500 to 12,000, according to US officials, as Washington winds down a war that has become deeply unpopular at home. "We are in very serious and delicate negotiations with America," Karzai said. "America has got its demands, Afghanistan too has its own demands, and its own interests... They want nine bases across Afghanistan. "Our conditions are that the US intensify efforts in the peace process, strengthen Afghanistan's security forces, provide concrete support to the economy - power, roads and dams - and provide assistance in governance. "If these are met, we are ready to sign the security pact," he told the audience during a speech at Kabul University. US officials have reportedly said that if 6,000 troops were kept in Afghanistan after 2014, only two bases, in the capital Kabul and at Bagram airfield, would be maintained. The US has avoided revealing details about its plans in Afghanistan after 2014 and Karzai's claim that a total of nine US bases may be kept open are likely to intensify pressure on President Barack Obama. Immunity from Afghan law for the remaining US troops is likely to be a key demand from Obama, and Karzai has previously said the issue may have to be decided by a gathering of tribal elders. Karzai said he would allow bases in Kabul, Bagram, Mazar-i-Sharif, Jalalabad, Gardez, Kandahar, Helmand, Shindand and Herat if Afghanistan's security and economic conditions were met. "We agree to give you the bases. We see their staying in Afghanistan beyond 2014 in the interests of Afghanistan as well as NATO," he said.

Pakistani Court: US Drone Strikes Illegal, Government Should Stop Them:

A high court in Pakistan has ruled that US drone strikes in the country's tribal belt should be considered war crimes and directed the government to use force to "protect the right to life" of its citizens. The Peshawar High Court has recommended the Pakistani government advance a resolution against the attacks in the United Nations. The court issued its verdict on the CIA-run air strikes in response to four petitions charging the attacks killed civilians and caused "collateral damage." Chief Justice Dost Muhammad Khan heard the petitions, and ruled that drone strikes on sovereign Pakistani territory were illegal, inhumane and a violation of the UN charter on human rights. "The government of Pakistan must ensure that no drone strike takes place in the future," the court said on Thursday, according to the Press Trust of India. Khan also asked Pakistan's foreign ministry to file a resolution against the attacks in the UN. The court also recommended that if the US rejects these findings in the UN, Pakistan should break off relations with Washington: "If the US vetoes the resolution, then the country should think about breaking diplomatic ties with the US." The Pakistani case was filed last year by the Foundation for Fundamental Rights, a charity based in Islamabad, on behalf of the families of victims killed in a drone attack on a tribal Jirga, including more than 50 tribal elders and a number of government officials. According to a report submitted by political officials of North Waziristan Agency, 896 Pakistani residents of the region were killed in the last five years ending December 2012, and 209 were seriously injured. A report by the South Waziristan Agency showed that 70 drone strikes were carried out in the last five years ending June 2012, in which 553 people were killed and 126 injured. "In view of the established facts, undeniable in nature, under the UN Charter and Conventions, the people of Pakistan have every right to ask the security forces either to prevent such strikes by force or to shoot down intruding drones," the court verdict said.

Burma Government Accused of Participating in Genocide:

The Burmese government is conducting a concerted campaign of genocide against its Muslim minorities. Buddhist monks and the state are collaborating in violent attacks on Burma's Muslims, the academic and activist Maung Zarni said during a discussion on the recent violence against Muslims in Burma at the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Thailand in Bangkok on Thursday. "It's nothing short of genocide," he said. "Genocide is a process that unfolds; it's a virus that spreads quickly into a contagion that cannot be stopped. What has happened in Burma in the last two years is evil, vile and depraved," he said. The genocide in Burma is now on the scale of Pol Pot's Cambodia, he added. "And it won't stop until all the country's Muslims and Rohingyas are eliminated." These are challenging times, Burmese Muslim leader Myo Win said. He runs an education NGO called Smile in Rangoon, and came from Burma especially to attend the seminar to provide first-hand testimony of the situation facing Muslims in Burma. "It's not a communal or sectarian conflict, it's a one-sided, targeted and often deadly attack against Muslims, under the purview of state authorities," he said. "Community leaders are spreading hostility and hate against Muslims, through the distribution of pamphlets and propaganda ...verbal abuse, harassment and violence," he explained. Inside Burma there is a state of fear among the country's Muslims, he said. The violence against the Rohingyas in Arakan last year and then the attacks on Muslims in central Burma have left most Muslim communities feeling vulnerable and scared.

Echo of Boston Explosion in Moscow

News:

3 May, Ansar.ru, Russian Internet portal, reported that in Moscow one of the mosques is being closed. This was announced by the Imam of the Darul-Arqam Mosque. In connection with the information spread in the media, discrediting the work of the community, a working group has taken the decision to suspend the religious-educational activities of the Darul-Arqam Mosque. "Reorganization is planned. For an indefinite period, starting today, daily services, Friday sermons, lessons and lectures were stopped at the mosque," said the imam of the mosque.

Comment:

Recall that a week before the announcement of the closure of the Darul-Arqam Mosque, 26 April the mosque was surrounded by various units of Russian special services. All Muslims who came to the Jumaah-prayer were subjected to document checks, 140 of them were arrested. The majority of Muslims attending the mosque were from the North Caucasus. In Russian media, information on the detention of 140 extremists based in the walls of the Al-Arqam has been replicated. The media based only on the non-disclosure of law enforcement sources, reported that the congregation of the mosque is often detected in the Islamic militant factions leading the fighting in the North Caucasus. In turn, the representative of the mosque, commenting on the results of the inspection, said that "All arrested last Friday were released on the same day, except for two people who have no registration in Russia, and in accordance with the immigration laws they will be deported."

All these events took place against the backdrop of explosions produced during the Boston Marathon. As we know the official version was that the Chechen Tsarnaev brothers carried out these bombings under the influence of Islamic militant groups operating on the territory of Russia in the North Caucasus. It has also been announced that the elder brother Tsarnaev recently was on the territory of Russia, where he studied at one of the camps of Doku Umarov. This interpretation of the events indicates that Russia is indirectly to blame for the tragedy that took place during the Boston Marathon. That is it is responsible for the death of the American citizens occurred on the American soil. Russia has taken extra steps to distance itself from the events in Boston. The head of the Chechen Republic Kadyrov said that the Tsarnaevs have long left their homeland and lived in Kazakhstan, and then immigrated to the United States. Russian television stations showed Tsarnaev's relatives living in Dagestan. They unanimously said that their relative during his visit to them was almost in and all the time spent in feasts with relatives. As for the secret services they conducted mass arrests in Moscow at the Darul-Arqam Mosque where visitors were mostly natives of the North Caucasus. Also, the Russian secret services tried to shift the blame on the FBI, saying that they warned U.S. intelligence about radical views of Tsarnaev, but the FBI had not given these signals enough attention. Putin also spoke of the need for tighter US-Russian struggle against terrorism.

Russia has turned to distance itself from the Tsarnaev brothers and Boston explosions, it became clear, when a FBI spokesman said that the Russian service inform them about the Tsarnaev brothers as people who pose a threat to American interests.

Today, the damage is done against the interests of Muslims, as a result of all these manipulations Moscow Muslims lost one of their mosques. Thus, the dire on-going problem of shortage of mosques in one of the capitals of the world even more aggravated.

Only Khilafah can get rid of Durand's cancer

News:

Today, May 4, 2013, while speaking to a press conference in Kabul, Afghanistan's President Karzai said that Pakistan has two objectives behind the recent war that it started. "Firstly, it is clear that Afghanistan is on the path of redevelopment and self-sustenance with the cooperation of international community for the last ten years. Pakistan envies and would not tolerate to see a prosperous and self-sustained Afghanistan and creating hurdles in the path of progress. Pakistan's second objective is to make the people of Afghanistan ready for talks over Durand Line and make them accept it as a formal border".   He made it explicitly clear that the nation will never accept Durand Line as a formal border between Afghanistan and Pakistan. At the end of consecutive nine hours fight on either sides of the border, one Afghan border police was killed Gushta area of Nangrahar Province and Pakistan army were pushed back to their territory, leaving behind built facilities (posts) for Afghan Army. The border tension is continuous on over all border at various points.

Comment:

It is a known fact that this colonial line was drawn right through the Ummah's chest in the year 1893 AD as part of imperialistic and perfidious British Indian puppets and Afghanistan to fulfill colonial Britain's evil political objectives. Now, once again the current colonial occupiers (America and NATO) are struggling and using it as tool to deceive and mislead the thoughts of common Muslims for separation between the Islamic lands of Afghanistan and Pakistan. In this regard, Director of Karzai's office Mr. Abdul Karim Khurram confessed on April 28 2013 that US Army and NATO openly left the border area for Pakistani Army; thus, they are the real cause of creating this dispute. America the leader of crusaders will have the following benefits out this border dispute:

  • US and NATO want to convince the general public in Afghanistan that Pakistan will ruin and overcome them if there were no crusade forces i.e. prolong their stay by creating sense of insecurity from Pakistan.
  • Communist Russian invasion forced Muslims in Afghanistan to migrate to Pakistan which brought them so close that Afghans with Pakistanis and Pakistanis with Afghans built a strong relationship of brotherhood, friendship, business relations and other relations of different walks of life. This relationship is so deep that many Afghans now have homes on either sides of the border. But now, the west wants to create internal feuds by creating such scenarios and restart the forgotten disputes to inject the Haram nationalist doctrine and make it part of their basic Aqeedah.
  • To create public opinion among the Muslims of Afghanistan so that they consider their Pakistani brethren in Islam as their enemies. In counteract, they want Afghanistan to build strong bond of friendship with infidels (Hindus) of India who are actively fighting against the Muslims in Kashmir so that the Muslims develop abhorrence towards the Ummah while extend their hands of everlasting friendship towards Kafir occupiers.
  • They want to convert the Islamic thoughts and feelings to colonialist approaches of the Islamic elements within the armed forces of Pakistan and Afghanistan along with the political thoughts of some of the Jihadi groups who are struggling to liberate the Muslims and Islamic lands from the hegemony of the West.

Apart from this, other factors which Karzai has highlighted are laughable and deceptive. Because since the past decade, Afghanistan has not made any progress, in fact, the problems of the Ummah on either side have increased many times. In Afghanistan, the ailing   government has failed to fulfill the needs and resolve basic issues of the public.

The reality is, there is no security over 80% of the land, most of the people are jobless, literacy rate is intentionally shown higher than real figures while the quality is nearly zero, there are no standard medical facilities anywhere in the country, there are no road in suburbs, poverty ratio has increased over past few years, governmental departments do not function without bribery, crusaders and their other groups (Black Water, Michael Sample, Raymond Davis Networks...) continue slaughtering innocent Muslims and degrading the Islamic Aqeedah. In addition, vulgarity is on its boom and the roads that were constructed for transporting logistics for NATO and US Army are broken and abundant as their withdrawal approaches. The million dollar question is: Where is the prosperity for which Pakistan is creating hurdles?? Pakistan too is facing more or less the same issues including the ongoing militancy in the tribal areas. The other question is: Who will resolve the Durand Line dispute? Whether the government of Pakistan or the government of Afghanistan or the people who are suffering in the area who are suffering because of this ongoing dispute or would these be the international forces who will resolve it?

Until the Islamic forces of Khilafah "Caliphate" state do not vanish this colonial line among the Muslims, neither Durand Line nor the ongoing disputes over it will never be resolved. Both countries will suffer with the current hypocrite governments who have befallen upon them like a cancer who are serving their foreign masters, dividing the Ummah in these areas, create anarchy and facilitate colonial crusaders.
