During September, people were shocked by the numerous reports of rape cases followed by robbery and even murder in public transportation stations throughout Jakarta. The constant media coverage of sex crimes including televised debates about possible causes and solutions have encouraged similar incidents throughout other major cities in Indonesia. In 2011, forty rape cases have been reported in Jakarta and more than 3700 reported incidents across Indonesia. However it is commonly known that more incidents go unreported, and from day to day the number is increasing.

The increase of sex crimes is comparable to many western capitalist countries like Britain and the United States. A possibility of 78 incidents of rape occur every hour or 683,280 each year. It's a horrible phenomenon that paints a portrait of a damaged society.

Capitalism, the system practiced in this country, is the instigator for the emergence of societal damage including fertilizing sex crimes. Its capitalist economic system has led to rampant poverty; it also encourages women to leave their homes to work late hours at night. This system also teaches people to justify any means to achieve material things. The capitalist social system allows women to expose their bodies becoming an object of sexual exploitation. Worst of all, the state does not position itself as a servant, protector, or responsible agent for its people. Therefore, it's difficult to expect any guarantee by the state to provide adequate and safe means of transportation to protect the honor of women. It is also understandable if the public loses trust in the government because the perpetrators were not subjected to any criminal sanctions due to the corrupt judiciary.

In response to the recently revealed rampant cases of rape, Muslimah Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia states:

1. The widespread cases of sex crimes only occur in societies which apply and allow the Capitalist ideology of freedom (liberalism) to expand rampantly. These crimes will be stopped through the implementation of the Islamic system, the Khilafah "Caliphate" Islamiyah. The Islamic economic system, Islamic social system and the Islamic system of sanctions will be implemented so as to prevent various acts of criminality including sex crimes.

2. The Islamic system will provide education for women to recognize how Islam safe-guards their honor and will place sanctions on those who publicly expose their bodies. It would impose strict penalties on perpetrators of rape based on Nidzam Uqubat fi al-Islam (Islamic system of sanctions). Rape accompanied by the threat of a weapon is convicted as a robber. Meanwhile, the penalty for robbers has been mentioned by Allah (swt):

"The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter;" (Surah Al Maidah: 33)

3. Only Islam and the implementation of the Islamic Sharia are able to provide assurance to the needs of women. Protection and the fulfillment of women's needs by the state have been widely proven throughout the history of Islamic government. Throughout the history of Islamic government, women were protected and their needs were fulfilled by the State. An example of this during the Prophet Muhammad's (saw) time occurred when a Muslim woman was in the market of Bani Qainuqa; a Jew untied her clothes exposing her body while she was standing. Others Jews gathered around her laughing. The woman screamed. Then one of the Sahabah came to her help and immediately killed the culprit. As a result, the Jews killed him. When this news came to the Prophet Muhammad (saw). He immediately gathered his army. The Prophet's troops besieged them in 15 days until Bani Qainuqa surrendered due to their fear.

It is time to return the glory to human life through an earnest struggle for the Islamic Khilafah "Caliphate" system so that all forms of criminality which damage people could soon be stopped.

Germany slams 'stupid' US plans to boost EU rescue fund

Germany and America were on a collision course on Tuesday night over the handling of Europe's debt crisis after Berlin savaged plans to boost the EU rescue fund as a "stupid idea" and told the White House to sort out its own mess before giving gratuitous advice to others. German finance minister Wolfgang Schauble said it would be a folly to boost the EU's bail-out machinery (EFSF) beyond its €440bn lending limit by deploying leverage to up to €2 trillion, perhaps by raising funds from the European Central Bank. "I don't understand how anyone in the European Commission can have such a stupid idea. The result would be to endanger the AAA sovereign debt ratings of other member states. It makes no sense," he said. Mr Schauble told Washington to mind its own businesss after President Barack Obama rebuked EU leaders for failing to recapitalise banks and allowing the debt crisis to escalate to the point where it is "scaring the world". "It's always much easier to give advice to others than to decide for yourself. I am well prepared to give advice to the US government," he said. The comments risk irritating the White House. US Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner has been a key driver of plans to give the EFSF enough firepower to shore up Italy and Spain, fearing a drift into "cascading default, bank runs and catastrophic risk" without dramatic action. The danger for Germany is that America will lose patience, with unpredictable consequences. The US Federal Reserve is currently propping up the European banking system in a variety of ways, including dollar swaps.

The global economic crisis is exposing the reality of relations between western states. They are not united, as it is perceived by many, but they are divided. This is the undisputed truth. Muslims should take comfort from these signs and work to redouble their efforts to establish the Islamic state.

Britain leaps to secure Libya contracts

Britain, as the perpetrator of a Western-led attack on Libya under the guise of protecting the country's civilian population, is seeking to secure more business contracts with the new Libyan government. British Trade Minister Stephen Green launched business talks in Libya, claiming UK firms are eager to participate in the rebuilding of the North African country. Green said that he had several meetings with the Libyan businessmen and members of National Transitional Council (NTC) and talked about future contracts between the two countries. However, he told reporters in Tripoli that Britain will not take strategic decisions with Libya until the country creates a new constitution and an elected government is chosen by the Libyan people. Britain formerly sent a team of negotiators to Tripoli to begin talks with the NTC officials and to sign lucrative oil deals. The news was then confirmed by Senior Whitehall officials, revealing that British Trade and Investment was planning to renew its oil contracts in Libya quickly, amid rising fears that Russian and Chinese oil firms are seeking to secure the best of the contracts.

Britain is not the only Western country that is eager to feed on the oil reserves of the country. Italy, France, and the US are also queuing up to devour Libya. The messenger of Allah (saw) said,"... there will come a time when the nations gather against you, just as people gather around a feast.' A man said, ‘Will it be because we are few at that time, O Allah's Messenger?' He responded, ‘No, you will be numerous in those times, but you will be as useless as the scum of the sea, and Allah will remove the fear that your enemies used to posses from you from their chests, and He will place al-Wahn in your hearts', it was said, ‘What is al-Wahn?', he responded, ‘Love of life, and hatred of death."

British soldiers in Afghanistan gather for Kill TV night

Disturbing footage of Apache attack helicopters killing people in Afghanistan is being shown to frontline British soldiers in "Kill TV nights" designed to boost morale, a television documentary will reveal. The discovery of the practice comes in the wake of the damning verdict of the Baha Mousa inquiry into the conduct of some in the military. It casts fresh questions over the conduct of soldiers deployed abroad and has provoked a furious response from peace campaigners. Andrew Burgin from Stop the War last night described it as the "ultimate degradation of British troops", comparing it to the desensitisation to death of US soldiers in the final stages of the Vietnam War. The footage, seen by The Independent on Sunday, shows ground troops at the British headquarters in Helmand province, Camp Bastion, gathered for a get-together said to be called "Kill TV night".

Despite all the rhetoric about the merits of their civilisation, the reality of British army is no different to the behaviour of savages. And their hared for Islam is clear to see. Allah says in the Quran: "O ye who believe! Take not into your intimacy those outside your ranks: They will not fail to corrupt you. They only desire your ruin: Rank hatred has already appeared from their mouths: What their hearts conceal is far worse. We have made plain to you the Signs, if ye have wisdom." [TMQ: 3:118].

Pakistan threatens US with retaliation

During his recent trip to Washington, Pakistani Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) Chief Lt General Ahmed Shuja Pasha told the chief of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) General David Petraeus that Pakistan would be forced to retaliate if US forces launch a military offensive in the country's Pak-Afghan tribal belt. According to military sources in Rawalpindi, Pasha also made it clear that Pakistani felt betrayed by the blunt assessment of US Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen. Mullen had said that the ISI was using the Haqqani network as a proxy against the US. Amid escalating tensions, Pakistan's top military commanders had already resolved on Sunday to respond materially to any American attack launched on Pakistan from the US-controlled and managed Afghanistan. Pakistani defence analysts have discussed the ways that the US can launch attacks on Pakistani soil including a surgical strike in Pakistan like the May 2 operation that targeted Osama bin Laden or more drone strikes - that may go beyond the agreed upon lines in North Waziristan. If the US strikes in such a fashion, then the Pakistani military leadership may be pressured to respond, opine analysts.

The time for threatening has gone. It is time for action. The Pakistani army leadership needs acts decisively to cut all forms of support to the American war machine. Otherwise, they(Kiyani and his supporters) who have lost their manhood and sold their Iman, should step aside and let others do the job for them.

Question:

21/8/2011: In the Sunday issue of "The News" Pakistani newspaper quoted the statement of the Army Chief General Ashfaq Kayani that the Pakistani Army is ready to help stop the political and ethnic violence in the city of Karachi, if the government requested him to do that.

What is the truth of this matter, and is there a real need for military intervention in the city to stop the violence since this is a police task and not a military mission, or is this intervention for other purposes?

Answer:

To know the reality of what has been and its motives we include:

1- Karachi is Pakistan's largest city. It has a population by some estimates of 20 million people. It is composed of several different ethnic groups such as Mohajars, Pushtuns, Balouchs, Punjabis, Sindhis, and Bengalis to name a few. The city is also home to religious minorities such as Christians, Hindus, Ismailia, Parsis, Sikhs, Bahá'ís, Jews and Buddhists... Thus, lack of state implementation of Islam in being fair with everyone increases the possibility of sectarian and religious conflict.

2- In the aftermath of the Afghan jihad against the Soviet Union's illegal occupation of Afghanistan, many Pashtun's migrated to Karachi, and settled in and around the outskirts of the city.

Also since Musharraf's compliance to support America's war in the tribal areas in 2003, and because of attacks by U.S. aircraft and Pakistani army in the tribal areas, numbers of Pashtuns and others were displaced in the city to escape from U.S. aircrafts' crimes to seek security in Karachi.

3- America's "Suspect" in the recent period that the Mujahideen in general, and the Taliban in particular, are safely moving in Karachi from which they go to Jihad.  What made America push Kayani to move against the Taliban and Al Qaeda residing in Karachi?  U.S. started this policy after the middle of last year, especially after the American announcement of the incident of Faisal Shehzad in Time Square in New York 1/5/2010. Then America put Karachi under the spotlight, United States said that Shehzad was able to move freely in the city and had been in contact with the militants. Furthermore the United States has used the recognition of the Taliban who carried out the attack on Mehran Naval Base in Karachi, in 22 / 5 / 2011 to put pressure on Kayani to take practical actions.

In 05/27/2011 Reuters quoted Clinton who visited Pakistan days after the attack saying, "This was an especially important visit because we have reached a turning point.  We look to Pakistan, to the government of Pakistan to take decisive steps in the days ahead.  Many of the leaders of the Taliban continue to live in Pakistan. Pakistan has the responsibility to help us help Afghanistan by preventing insurgents from waging war from Pakistani territory."

4- Thus, America has felt that Karachi is a problem along with the tribal areas and the borders, and where it cannot use drones in highly populated areas such as Karachi while they are free to use frones in the border areas. So the United States agreed with Kayani to deploy some of the army into Karachi in the same manner it goes after the Mujahideen in the tribal areas and borders, the Army will also help in tracking down militants in Karachi.

5- To instill media justification for the intervention of the army, they moved their henchmen into Karachi to provoke violence between the various races in Karachi leaving many dead and wounded including the destruction of vital interests. Al Jazeera Net quoted the security and health sources in Pakistan in 18 /8/2011, "That more than 39 people were killed and more than forty others were wounded during the 24 hours in the new wave of violence that hit the southern port city of Karachi, Pakistan, which was in the form of a guerrilla war, but police said that the incident has a political dimension.. "

6- All of this is to create a new situation. The people in Karachi will implore the army to intervene in restoring law and order. The United States offered to help in the city of Karachi to combat lawlessness. On August 9, 2011; the Interior Minister of Sindh, Manzoor Wassan met with the U.S. Consul General William Martin and said that the U.S.  had offered equipment and other expertise to overcome the situation in the city.

7- Some politicians have been deceived in this deception, local politicians demanded that the army must intervenes in Karachi. On August 3, 2011,  MQM and Awami National Party (ANP- the party of the Pashtuns) both expressed their desire for the deployment of army personnel in Karachi to restore peace. A week later, the army also signalled its intent to intervene in the city. On August 9th, the military said in a statement after Army Chief General Ashfaq Kayani met his top generals, "The forum expressed concern over the law and order situation in Karachi and its ramifications or implications on the national economy."

8- The intervention of the army in Karachi is to serve the interests of America.  Whereas, the Pakistani Army should go after the American criminals who are occupying the Muslim country of Afghanistan including the American criminals who penetrated the people's security in Pakistan. The army should not go after their Muslim brothers in Karachi to please America.

The appeal of some local elements of the army being: they are either complicit with the aggression forces of the U.S. and with Kayani, the treacherous, or it is either naivety and lack of political awarenessas a result of the media portraying the army intervention is to maintain security.

9- The Homeland Security is kept by the police and not by the army, which  has to protect the country and the people from the aggression of the United States.

We urge all the sincere movements to prevent military intervention in the cities, and to urge the army to stand in the face of the aggression of the U.S. occupation of Afghanistan, and oppose U.S. drone attacks in Pakistan and against the CIA and FBI spies and anti-security companies.

Maintaining the security is one of the police tasks, and the security is the security of the people not of the American security. This is to provide reassurance for those concerned with the interests of the country not those of the spies for America and the West.

Allah and His Messenger are with the Believers (Mutaqeen), and are against the infidel colonialists, as this is how it should be.
