It appears that the increased pressure exerted by the American occupation forces on the Iraqi government in Baghdad, and their refusal to deal with any Iraqi government that includes armed factions or their allies, has yielded results with these factions, especially given their approximately 80 parliamentary seats.

The state is the executive body for the collection of values, standards, and concepts of life chosen by a people or an ummah. Therefore, it is expected that the state must be of the same nature as the ummah, and chosen by it, and that it must fulfill its designated role, which is to implement the necessary tasks of governance in a way that leads to the realization of the way of life chosen by the governed.
