US President Obama announced on 15 October a slowing down of the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan, as well as confirming a continued US military presence beyond 2016.

The campaign of "Fourteen years of terror and ‌barbarity" which startedon 7th October 2015 to commemorate the anniversary of the US and NATO's ongoing invasion of Afghanistan, has ended successfully.
