Dobbins, the US Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan, announced during a press briefing at the US Embassy in Tokyo on May 13, 2014, that the US-led military presence in Afghanistan will remain "significant" despite this year's draw-down. Dobbins' announcement is certainly no cause for celebration. After suffering over twelve years of American occupation, Afghanistan is in severe crisis, and the suffering will continue.

The head of the Syrian opposition coalition, Ahmed Al-Jarba told Al-Arabiya News channel during his visit to the United States of America that the opposition is the third way to the regime and the extremist factions who came to the Syrian land. He called to have strategic relationship between the opposition and the United States to achieve the third option, describing the coalition as moderate forces who believe in democracy.…
