In Indonesia and Malaysia, large protests in support of Palestine and against the ‘Israeli’ ground offensive in Gaza took place over the weekend. Protests involved thousands of people in Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta. Malaysian protesters condemned ‘Israel’s actions and were joined by prominent politicians from various parties.

On 17 October 2023, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that during the 260th Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC), chaired by Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir, said, that the Palestinian people have “unequivocal diplomatic, moral, and political support of the Pakistani nation.”

‘Israeli’ airstrikes targeted the al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza City on Tuesday, 17th Oct, killing hundreds and wounding many more. Reports say at least 500 people were killed, mainly women and children.
