Thousands of reservists have signed declarations vowing not to continue reporting for duty if the judicial overhaul legislation was passed. On Monday 26 the Zionist Knesset (parliament) adopted the highly controversial law to limit the Supreme Court's powers. The so-called "reasonableness" bill was approved by 64 votes to 0, after the opposition boycotted the final vote.

 On 24th May 2023,Reuters reported, “The International Monetary Fund's managing director Kristalina Georgieva said about de-dollarization of the world: "We don't expect a rapid shift in reserves because the reason the dollar is a reserve currency is because of the strength of the US economy and the depth of its capital markets."”

The Pakistan Investment Policy (PIP) 2023 has been given the go-ahead by the federal cabinet through the circulation of a summary. It is anticipated that the new policy will attract $20-25 billion in investment over the next few years. The policy is developed in consultation with the World Bank, International Finance Corporation, and provincial and federal institutions.
