Press Release
The New U.S. Strategy;
Continuity of War and Instability in Afghanistan and South Asia
(Translated)
After eight months of intense internal disagreements, US President Donald Trump announced the new U.S. strategy for Afghanistan.
The Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah Afghanistan does not see any difference in the new strategy compared to the previous one. It is because the United States has announced its strategy for Afghanistan in the light of its strategy for South Asia, which officially implies that the United States uses the unique geographical position of Afghanistan as a military base and a war project to pursue its strategic and colonial goals in the region. Meanwhile, Trump insisted on strengthening India’s role in bringing security to Afghanistan, which indicates the intensification of proxy war of U.S., India, Pakistan, Iran, China and Russia in Afghanistan.
Unlike the lies of Bush and Obama, Trump explicitly said that: Our troops will no longer be used for nation-building; in fact, it is the responsibility of Afghans how to fight against our common enemy, strengthen their economy and build their future. Whereas America had previously occupied Afghanistan under the slogans of, i.e. emancipation from “terrorism”, nation-building, state-building, sustaining human rights and good governance.
Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah Afghanistan has repeatedly reminded the Afghan Muslims of the deceptive slogans of the U.S. and NATO. Now they hear the same sentences from the Dajjal of this era (Trump) that they are not here for the prosperity, nation-building, democracy and human rights in Afghanistan, but they have come to achieve their dirty colonial goals and the Afghan government and mercenary officials are the temporary agents to ensure their interests.
