The Third Doha Meeting is a Neo-Colonial Mechanism; Attending it Bears Precarious Political Consequences!
The representatives of the United Nations, Western and Qatari diplomats have been recently consulting with officials of the Afghan caretaker government concerning the inception and agenda of the upcoming Doha 3 meeting. These representatives, by suggesting eye-catching offers and incentivizing packages, have been trying to convince the authorities of the ruling regime to attend this meeting.
The Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Afghanistan considers the Third Doha meeting as an international neo-colonial meeting in which the US seeks to create a new mechanism to intervene and secure its interests in Afghanistan; therefore, attending this meeting will bear precarious political consequences. As in the Doha 3 meeting, not only a foundation aimed at integrating the ruling regime into the US-led international order will be laid but also a new political mechanism aimed at addressing the Afghan crisis will be established.
Attending such meetings, even if it comes with pre-conditions, is harmful and should be avoided. In fact, the Western neo-colonialists and the countries of the region have never sought to truly address the Afghan crisis in the past two decades, so such meetings serve as a platform for consultation and competition between the Western powers and the countries of the region over their interests in Afghanistan.
History has shown that international conferences and mechanisms have been the key devastating factor of crisis in Afghanistan in the last forty years and in other Muslim countries in the last few centuries, adding to the complexity and longevity of political crises; that’s why, not a single desirable scenario has ever come out of these meetings to serve as a source of goodness (Khair) for the Muslim Ummah. Hence, one could see the unsuccessful and harmful political results of these so-called meetings on international causes by reflecting on the crises in Syria, Iraq, Sudan, and Yemen.
Indeed, the fundamental philosophy of holding such international meetings is that when the great powers happen to be unable to achieve their goals through the military and war, they redirect their efforts to activating political processes and international mechanisms to secure their interests in the target country. It isn’t pointless to assert that after the disgraceful withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan, more than 100 international and regional bilateral and multilateral meetings have been held on Afghanistan over the past 2 years and a half, the main purpose of which has been to offer political suggestions to the ruling regime and create new mechanisms with an aim to re–intervene in Afghanistan.
In fact, the vital and fundamental solution to address the Afghan crisis should not be sought within the international neo-colonial mechanisms, which is nothing but an American version of the British colonialism in its newest update; but rather, efforts should be made to establish the Caliphate (Khilafah) based on the method of the Prophethood – a state that would eradicate the influence of neo-colonialism in Islamic lands and get the Ummah united by mobilizing all its power and capacities towards complete and comprehensive implementation of Islam, re-introducing Islam as a heart-touching lifestyle to the world.
“You who believe, do not take outsiders as your intimates as they spare no effort to ruin you and want to see you suffer: their hatred is evident from their mouths, but what their hearts conceal is far worse. We have made Our revelations clear for you; will you not use your reason?” [Aal-i-Imran:118]
