Dengue Epidemic: The Regime is Labelling any News of their Irresponsibility as Rumour
Only the Khilafah State will ensure Proper Healthcare for People
The people of Bangladesh are realizing how severely irresponsible and corrupted the regime is. Dhaka is now a city of dengue and it is spreading throughout country in an alarming a way. One person is being affected by dengue every 2 minutes. Hospitals are struggling to manage the huge inflow of dengue patients, and every day there is news of the newly affected and more deaths. Although there was advance warning of dengue outbreak, this irresponsible regime did not take the proper initiative to kill the Aedes mosquitoes and to clean up their breeding places; as a result, the density of mosquitoes have increased by 10 times. Not only their irresponsibility but also their corruption has been revealed. Tests conducted by ICDDR,B and the Center of Disease Control revealed that the insecticide used against mosquitoes by the two city corporations is ineffective - as it does not kill Aedes mosquitoes. But even after getting this report on May 22nd, Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has continued using it! In their attempt to cover up their failures, the shameless ministers and mayors of this regime have advocated on behalf of this ineffective insecticide, or claimed that mosquitoes are so resistant that insecticides are ineffective, or blamed the patients for not coming to hospitals for treatment, and even mocked the Rohingiya Muslims by saying that the breeding power of Aedes mosquitoes is like that of the Rohingiya!
After such irresponsible statements about a critical situation, this regime is now labelling any news exposing the regime’s failures as “rumor” and suppressing the people’s voice, just like President Trump calls any news exposing his lies and failures “fake news”! When the news media started presenting the actual numbers of dengue affected patients and the death tolls, the mayor of DSCC labeled this news as “rumor” saying that the news of child kidnapers and that of 350 thousand dengue affected patients are conspiracies from the same source, and threatened that the Government will take strong initiative against them, and punish them.
O Muslims! These ministers and mayors, mocking the pain and sufferings of the people, are the poisonous fruits of the poisonous secular democratic system that manufactured them and installed them into politics. In this system, the rulers come to power with false promises, and then stay beyond the laws; thus, they are not accountable to anyone, and misrule becomes widespread. Afterwards, when the people take any stance against their crimes, they restore to new tactics to suppress them. Thus, it is not enough to reject this ruling class, but rather we have to reject the secular democratic system also, and work to reestablish the merciful system given by our Lord, the Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Caliphate) on the way of the Prophethood.
O Muslims! History is witness that under the Khilafah people regardless of their race or religion enjoyed a high standard of health care along with others rights. Through the return of Khilafah, people can be saved from plagues like this Dengue epidemic, because in this system the Head of the State (Khalifah) will take the responsibility of people on his shoulder as an obligation from the Shariah, and through fulfilling this obligation he will seek pleasure of Allah (swt) and will always be concerned about neglecting responsibility in fear of facing HIS (swt) accountability. RasulAllah (saw) said:
«مَا مِن أَمِيرٍ يَلِي أُمورَ المُسلِمينَ، ثُمَّ لا يَجْهَدُ لَهُم ويَنْصَحُ لهُم؛ إلَّا لَم يَدخُل مَعَهُمُ الجَنَّةَ»
“Whoever is in charge of anything of the Muslims' affairs, and withdraws himself without solving their needs, poverty, and wants, Allah withdraws Himself on the Day of Judgement from his needs, wants and poverty.” [Extracted by Abu Daoud].
Regarding healthcare, Article 164 of the Draft Constitution adopted by Hizb ut Tahrir states: “The State provides free health care for all, but it does not prevent using private medical care or the sale of medicine”. Islam does not view treatment and healthcare as commodity, but rather views it as a basic need for the people. Therefore, the Khilafah State will ensure free health care for every citizen regardless of rich and poor. It will allocate adequate money and support to increase and extend the standard of research in health care. «ما أَنْزل اللَّه داءً إِلا أَنْزل لَهُ شفاء»“...For indeed Allah did not make a disease but He made a cure for it or a remedy. Except for one disease’ (Old age)”. [Al-Tirmidhi]. Scientists under Khilafah will be encouraged to invent new medicine and treatment through research and development. Thus quick initiative will be taken to find medicine for Dengue and Ebola viruses without being concerned about profit. Regarding managing plague or epidemic, the State will take necessary actions like Omer (ra) as Khalefah followed during plague in Syria, “When there will be plague in an area, no one will leave that place or enter that place”. Therefore, if there is any plague the Khilafah will quarantine that place and send required medicines and other healthcare necessities immediately.
O Muslims! We are calling you to this blessed system, chosen by our lord. Do not bear the burden of these criminal rulers and their system, and choose not to be victims anymore from their ruthless carelessness, and remove them immediately and march forth to re-establish the Khilafah Rashidah under the leadership of Hizb ut Tahrir.
Allah Subhana wa Ta’la says:
“If people of the town believed and had taqwa, Allah would have opened blessings from the heavens and from the earth” [Surah Al-Araf: 96]
