Cameron parades support for Israel & anti-Muslim sentiments in bid for power
Taking time out from claiming costs at the taxpayers expense, last week, David Cameron addressed a fundraiser at the Dorchester hotel for the influential Conservative Friends of Israel at which he slavishly pledged his commitment to Israel and claimed that "Israel strives to protect innocent life" despite its slaughter of over 1500 civilians last January.
He further tried to appease the pro-Israeli lobby by repeating his demand for a ban on the political group Hizb ut-Tahrir.
Taji Mustafa, media representative of Hizb ut-Tahrir Britain said, "Cameron's starry eyed view of Israel has led him to declare that ‘Israel strives to protect innocent life' but he has chosen to ignore the deaths of over 1500 civilians in last January's Gaza bombardment, the admission by Israeli troops that they deliberately killed civilians, Israel's use of white phosphorous against civilians and its attacks on UN centres."
"He described his unstinting support for Israel as ‘something I feel very deep inside of me', which might explain his tolerance of the racist comments of Avidor Lieberman, Tzipi Livni and other Israeli politicians."
"He brings no arguments against Hizb ut-Tahrir, only repeating a call for a ban in a shamelessly populist manner. He is yet to find the courage to take up our challenge to an open debate, and we are led to believe that he has banned party candidates from debating with Hizb ut-Tahrir."
"Cameron is not only vying to be Britain's next Prime Minister, he is also trying to be the most ardent supporter of Israel, with its murderous track record."
"In his desperate bid to be a wannabe Barack Obama for Britain, he is courting the pro-Israeli lobby like every US politician. His cynical use of Muslims for his own political end shows he is really nothing more than the heir to Blair - his spin and double speak only interrupted by his frank hostility to Muslims."
Hizb ut-Tahrir will continue to stand against his anti-Muslim views and policies, despite all his threats."
