Hundreds of Rohingya Muslim women and children, who fled the genocide and mass rape by Buddhist extremists in Myanmar, continue to be detained indefinitely in Saudi Arabia’s Shumaisi Detention Centre, after seeking sanctuary in the state. Some have been imprisoned for more than 5 years after they entered the country

Fifteen displaced children, most of them infants, have died in Syria due to severe cold and lack of health care, according to the UNICEF report on Tuesday 15/1/2019. The children, 13 of them under the age of one, died in Al-Rukban Camp in southeastern Syria, near the border with Jordan.
