Announcement of the New Moon of Shawwal for the Year 1440 AH and Congratulations on the Occasion of the Blessed Eid ul-Fitr

(Translated)

Bismillahi Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, the Mighty One who crushes the tyrants, the Glorifier of Islam and the Muslims. Peace and blessings be upon the Messenger sent as a mercy to the worlds, our master Muhammad, the master of creation and the seal of the Prophets whom we take as our guide to learn the sound methodology, and upon his family and companions and those who follow him with properness until the Day of Judgment…

Ahmad extracted on the authority of Muhammad Bin Ziyad that he said, I heard Abu Hurairah (ra) say: that the Prophet (saw) said, or he said: Abu Al-Qasim (saw) said: «صوموا لِرُؤيتِهِ وأَفْطِرُوا لرؤيتِهِ فإنْ غُـبِّيَ عليكم فَعُدُّوا ثَلَاثِينَ»“Observe fast on sighting it (the new moon) and break it on sighting it. But if (due to clouds) the actual position of the moon is concealed from you, you should then complete thirty days.”

After investigating the new moon of Shawwal on this blessed eve of Tuesday, the sighting of the new moon has been confirmed according to the Shariah sighting requirements in some of the Muslim countries, therefore tomorrow, Tuesday is the first day of the month of Shawwal and it is the first day of the blessed Eid ul-Fitr.

On this occasion of the blessed Eid ul-Fitr, the Ameer of Hizb ut Tahrir, the eminent scholar Ata Bin Khalil Abu Al-Rashtah, may Allah protect him, congratulates all the people of the noble Islamic Ummah, and he asks Allah Subhanahu to grant us His favour by establishing the righteous Khilafah state (Caliphate) on the method of Prophethood which will implement the Shariah (laws) of Allah on earth and carry Islam to the world as a message of guidance and light, the State of Justice that will liberate the land and bring justice to people; the State of Jihad that will open lands as it did in the past, and people will chant takbirs in their Eids and the opening of lands: Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, la ilaha ila Allah, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Wa lillahi Alhamd.

It is also my pleasure to relay my congratulations and that of the Head of the Central Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir and all those working in it to the Ameer of Hizb ut Tahrir, and to all the Muslims for this blessed Eid ul-Fitr; the Eid that Allah wanted to be a joy to the fasting and a sign of the unity of Muslims, and a reminder for them that they are one Ummah to the exclusion of all people.

And to the Muslims in the whole world from the east of the earth to its west, to the steadfast people of Ash-Sham and the stationed (Murabiteen) people of the Blessed Land (Palestine), the patient people of Yemen, the revolutionary people of Sudan and Algeria, the Muslims of Chinawho hope for compensation from Allah, the oppressed Muslims of Burma and the Mujahideen Muslims of Kashmir... O you who have been fasting, standing in prayer, worshiping and working, congratulations for your Eid, this Blessed Eid ul-Fitr.

O Believers, come out to your Eid with expanded breasts, breasts filled with joy in what you gave of worships in your month; and let the whole world see the joy in yourfacesthat were blessed by the prayers in the blessed month of Ramadan, to achieve in you the saying of Allah (swt): [سِيمَاهُمْ فِي وُجُوهِهِم مِّنْ أَثَرِ السُّجُودِ ] “Their mark is on their faces from the trace of prostration” [Al-Fath: 29].

And let the colonist Kaffir West and its traitorous agents, the rulers of the Muslims, let them and those see in your eyes the strength of determination that the great doctrine of Islam gave you. Let them know that you are a nation reassured by the promise of its Lord, and it moves ahead to the goal set by its Messenger (saw), the goal of holding firmly to the rope of Allah all together behind one Imam, a pure, pious and just Khalifah, who will repeat in and with them the biography of the rightly guided Caliphs. Hewill gather the forces and energies of the Ummah, will invest the benefits and the goods of the country, so Allah will open the gates of goodness with you, for you and for the people, and will return the hope to this world by being led by the best nation that has been brought out to humankind, an Ummah that is the most worthy of all the nations of the world to build up the earth to the satisfaction of its Creator.

O Believers, your means and your way to this awaited good is only the return to existence of the Khilafah (Caliphate) State, the state which was left to you by your Prophet, the master of creation Muhammad, the best of peace and blessings upon him.

Hizb ut Tahrir and its founders, its Fuqaha’ and its Shabab have examined the Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad (saw), studied his actions, reviewed his sayings and followed up on the crystallized views of the most prominent scholars and Mujtahideen of the legacy of this religion, so they realized the methodology of the Prophet (saw) in politics and in taking care from the establishment of the Sahaba’s structure to the declaration of the Islamic state in al-Medina al-Munawarah. Thus, they perceived his way, and they retrieved the lost road map, the map of the Prophetic guidance to the restoration of the Khilafah (Caliphate) State, the state of Abu Bakr, Omar, Othman and Ali, Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Caliphate) on the method of Prophethood.

O Muslims, the West is very keen to avert you from the Dawah carriers in Hizb ut Tahrir, so, break this pernicious barrier and come forward to the Shabab of Hizb ut Tahrir, and ask them what they carry of goodness for you, for they are from you and they are among you and wherever Muslims spread, and if you ask about them, you will find them before you with their open hands and contented chests to give what they have of understanding and insight ... Do not miss the opportunity to know the way of salvation, and then put your hands in their hands may Allah bless you and them with victory and empowerment.

O Muslims everywhere, your joy in this Eid is an act of worship to your Lord, a renewal of your energies, a washing for your worries, and a spite for your enemy, so chant Takbeer and Tahleel, rejoice, and spread joy, and then work with the workers.
