Detaining Muslims Illegally Is Democracy's Best Revenge

On 24 January 2013, Attorney-General of Pakistan Mr. Irfan Qadir admitted in front of the Supreme Court of Pakistan that more then seven hundred people from the tribal areas bordering Afghanistan, have been detained illegally by intelligence agencies and security forces. These people have been denied their basic right of self defense for years now. They are confined under inhuman conditions, prevented from meeting their loved ones and some even died during detainment, their bodies were thrown in hospitals or on roadsides. These are the numbers the government has accepted and admitted. However, there are hundreds of others excluding the tribal regions who have disappeared including Naveed Butt, the official spokesman of Hizb ut Tahrir in Pakistan. This human tragedy occurs in a country founded in the name of Islam, under a regime that claims to be fighting terrorism but in fact is terrorizing its own people for the sake of America and its war against Islam and Muslims. Every person's basic right of innocent unless proven guilty has been abrogated under the Kayani-Zardari democratic regime.

This comes as no surprise since America, the world's leading democracy, master and model for the Kayani-Zardari regime, has itself been committing crimes against humanity since the inception of United States of America. America, itself, has firmly established that "democracy is the best revenge," whether it was the hundreds of thousands of Native Americans massacred until near extinction from their own country, or the horrific bombardment of Hiroshima and Nagasaki by atomic weapons, or the notorious Bagram, Guantanamo and Abu Ghuraib Prisons, or the witch-hunt of Muslim U.S. citizens, or the supporting of tyrant regimes in the Muslim lands, such as those of Syria's Bashar Al-Assad and Kayani-Zardari, granting them free reign to abduct, torture and murder those who oppose their master, America. Muslims specifically and people of the world generally are all at the mercy of state machineries that can detain, imprison, torture or even kill them, sanctioned by democracy. No doubt, democracy is the best revenge against humanity, where every inhuman act such as waterboarding or even killing people in drone attacks, can be declared legal. Truly, Democracy does not look after the affairs of people; rather it secures the narrow interests only of those who rule within it, or those within the rulers' entourage and their thugs.

Only the upcoming Khilafah "Caliphate" InshaaAllah, can solely guarantee the basic right of every citizen of the state. That is because the laws in Islam are not man-made laws; rather they are ordained by the Creator (swt) for all humankind, including the ruler and ruled. Upon the establishment of the Khilafah "Caliphate", only then will those seeking justice will find justice. Only then will the world rejoice, relieved from abduction, torture and murder by the state. Allah (swt) said,

(يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُونُوا قَوَّامِينَ لِلَّهِ شُهَدَاءَ بِالْقِسْطِ وَلاَ يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَآنُ قَوْمٍ عَلَى أَلاَّ تَعْدِلُوا اعْدِلُوا هُوَ أَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوَى وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ)

"O you who believe! Stand firm for Allah as just witnesses. And let not the hatred of others to you to make you swerve to wrong and depart from justice. Be just, that is nearer to piety. And have Taqwa of Allah for Allah is mindful of all that you do" [Al-Maa'ida: 8]
