Western Double Standards; Between Condemning the Sydney Incident, and Silence Over the Massacres in the Blessed Land of Palestine

There remains not a single head of state or Western or Arab leader who has not denounced the Sydney incident, in which fifteen people were killed by gunfire in the wake of an attack targeting the Jewish Hanukkah festival in Sydney. Yet we have not seen comparable resolve in condemning the crimes of the Jewish entity in the Blessed Land of Palestine over the past two years. As usual, public opinion has been misled, with a total disregard for the incident's motives, as everyone concentrated on denouncing the act, irrespective of the cause that prompted the two gunmen to fire on the celebrants.

As the West is stoking its crusader campaign against Islam and Muslims, US President Donald Trump has exploited the incident by adding more fuel to the fire, on Tuesday 16 December 2025, by calling for the world’s nations to wage an international war against what he termed, “radical Islamist terrorism.” Trump likewise declared at a Hanukkah reception in the White House, “All nations must stand together against the evil forces of radical Islamic terrorism and we’re doing that.” Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese noted that the two gunmen, a man and his son, were motivated by an “ideology of hate.”

The Jewish entity’s prime minister urged Western states to intensify their efforts to combat antisemitism and safeguard Jewish communities, saying on Tuesday 16 December, “I demand that Western governments do what is necessary to fight antisemitism and provide the required safety and security for Jewish communities worldwide. They would be well-advised to heed our warnings... I demand immediate action.”

To clarify matters beyond the politicians’ deceptive declarations, we affirm the following:

Firstly: There is no terrorism in Islam, as claimed by the West and the leader of the Crusader alliance, Trump, for Islam is a divine risaalah (message) and a mercy to all people. Allah (swt) said,

[وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا كَافَّةً لِلنَّاسِ بَشِيرًا وَنَذِيرًا وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ]

“And We have not sent you except comprehensively to mankind as a bringer of good tidings and a warner. But most of the people do not know.” [TMQ Surah Saba: 28] and the sole word derived from “terrorism” that appears in the Noble Quran comes in the context of fighting in the Path of Allah (swt) against the enemies of Allah (swt), from among the disbelievers and criminals, to raise the Word of Allah (swt) as the highest, where Allah (swt) said,

[وَأَعِدُّوا لَهُمْ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ وَمِنْ رِبَاطِ الْخَيْلِ تُرْهِبُونَ بِهِ عَدُوَّ اللَّهِ وَعَدُوَّكُمْ وَآخَرِينَ مِنْ دُونِهِمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَهُمُ اللَّهُ يَعْلَمُهُمْ]

“And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah (swt) and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know but whom Allah (swt) knows.” [TMQ Surah Al-Anfal 8:60].

Moreover, Islam regards the killing of an innocent soul as a major crime among the gravest sins, Allah (swt) said,

[مِنْ أَجْلِ ذَلِكَ كَتَبْنَا عَلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ أَنَّهُ مَنْ قَتَلَ نَفْسًا بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ أَوْ فَسَادٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا وَمَنْ أَحْيَاهَا فَكَأَنَّمَا أَحْيَا النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا]

“Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israeel that whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for corruption done in the land - it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And whoever saves one - it is as if he had saved mankind entirely.” [TMQ Surah Al-Maidah:32].

So, what about the Jewish entity that, with the full support of the Crusader alliance, killed more than seventy thousand innocent souls, in less than two years?!

Secondly: What Trump calls “Islamist terrorism” has nothing to do with Islam and Muslims. Trump knows very well that the terrorism he is talking about is the creation of his country and its security apparatus, and the creation of the agent governments that work under his command in the Muslim World, to carry out the dirty work that those powers desire, and then falsely attribute it to Islam and Muslims. This is done with the aim of distorting the image of Islam and alienating people from it, for fear that humanity will abandon the materialistic Western thought that has made it miserable and exhausted, in order to embrace the great Deen of mercy, Islam.

Thirdly: Holding Islam and Muslims responsible for the Sydney incident, and accusing the gunmen of anti-Semitism, is side-stepping the truth and ignoring the real reason behind the incident. The fundamental reason is the hypocrisy and double standards practiced by the West. The West sees no problem in the Jewish entity killing more than seventy thousand innocent people in less than two years, and the Jewish entity continues to kill even after signing the charters and treaties that obligate it to stop the bloodshed, with the guarantee of the West itself. Thus, the one responsible for this incident is the West itself. It is the West which has continued to support the Jewish entity, without limits, to commit massacres, which drives even the most rational and patient person to anger and loss of composure.
