 Press Release
New Kyrgyzstan Child Abuse Laws will Fail to Protect Anyone, as the State System itself is the Greatest Abuser of Women and Children!

On 20th October 2016, the 24 Press Club issued a report on the new Criminal Codes designed by the Kyrgyzstan government aimed at protecting children from child abuse.

These new laws include heavier sentences of up to 10 years for abusers and “Intentional infliction of harm to the child's health can lead to imprisonment for a term from 6 to 10 years. If the consequences are not serious, the person faces up to 3 years or a fine from 40,000 to 70,000 soms and corrective work.”

There is no doubt that there is an urgent need to remedy the growing dangers women and children face in Kyrgyzstan. Indeed, child abuse is a growing problem in every secular nation that makes man-made desires the object of worship and where the sexualisation of society is rife. In such states, children have no security for they are subject to the selfish whims of individuals and surrounded by an environment where morals have been discarded in exchange for the fulfilment of personal and sexual freedom. If the Kyrgyzstan government truly wished to serve the needs of children they would abandon their failed system of secular liberal values and comprehensively serve the needs of the people by implementing the Islamic system that reflects the beliefs of its Muslim-majority population and is based upon the Sharia laws of Allah (swt) and His Messenger (saw) – the Khilafah "Caliphate" based on the method of the Prophethood. We have seen in the recorded history of the Khilafah "Caliphate" that child abuse was never an epidemic problem, as it is today in Kyrgyzstan and other secular states.

This is because all systems worked together to protect the minds and emotions of people so that they are repelled from such abominable acts against the innocent and needy as there are numerous Islamic evidences detailing the rights of children in Islam and the obligation to protect them from all forms of harm, as well as how it is a great crime to violate their rights. The Prophet (saw) said, «ليس منا من لم يرحم صغيرنا، ويعرف شرف كبيرنا» “He is not one of us who shows no mercy to younger ones and does not acknowledge the honour due to our elders.”

But importantly, it is the Kyrgyz regime which is one of the greatest abusers of women and children for it enforces it power over society and attempts to maintain its rule using the most repressive and brutal tactics. Usual measures to control any form of political challenge include imprisoning honourable Muslim women and taking them away from their young children who are in need of their love and care, simply because they call for the System of Allah (swt). The most recent example of this, is the imprisonment of our dear sister, Tajibayiva, mother of 7 children, the youngest of whom is in 3rd grade, who was so unjustly sentenced to 8 years and 8 months in prison by the Kyrgyz regime for carrying the dawah for the Khilafah "Caliphate" upon the method of the Prophethood. Her illegitimate incarceration has now left 7 children motherless and stripped them of their right to an upbringing under the tender care, affection, protection and guidance of the one whom they depend upon greatly.

It is only with the complete and comprehensive return to the Khilafah "Caliphate" ruling system where the upbringing of generations are educated with Islamic values, and the judicial system works to enforce the rights of citizens young and old, and the social system works to protect family values, and the political system protects the rights of children on all levels and facilitates its citizens in accounting their rulers and spreading the good values within society, that we will see real solutions to the crimes against the vulnerable members of society, including children. In the absence of the Khilafah "Caliphate", no partial measures or heavier penalties imposed under the secular system for crimes of abuse will ever make real changes to the wellbeing of children or anyone else.
