British Ban on Hizb ut Tahrir:
Desperate Censorship and Sublime Hypocrisy

Today, January 19, 2024, Hizb ut Tahrir was banned in Britain by a political decision without the shadow of a legal process. The ban was introduced just four days after the British Home Secretary, James Cleverly, declared that he would add Hizb ut Tahrir to the British terror list. This, despite the fact that Hizb ut Tahrir works exclusively politically and intellectually, and has done so for more than 70 years.

The lies that Hizb ut Tahrir is anti-Semitic and promotes terror are so blatant that they hardly call for refutation. They are presented without shame, both in Britain and here in Denmark, by politicians and media who support Zionist state-terror and genocide of the Palestinian civilian population. Hizb ut Tahrir, on the other hand, works for the re-establishment of the Islamic societal order in the Muslim part of the world, which for centuries ensured that Muslims, Jews, Christians and other faiths could live side by side in safety.

The Western states, including Britain and Denmark, have in recent months, more than ever before, exhibited their total lack of morality or humanity. All claims of human rights and freedom - to live, believe, think and speak - are buried in the ruins of Gaza.

For more than 70 years, Hizb ut Tahrir has worked politically and non-violently to replace the Western-backed torture regimes in the Muslim world with a just Islamic Khilafah state (Caliphate) that harmonizes with the beliefs of the Muslim populations. Britain now joins the ranks of these dictatorships, which have long sought to censor the call of Hizb ut Tahrir, by coercion and punishment. In a blatant undermining of the alleged freedom of expression and separation of powers, the British government is now introducing this political ban. The Danish Minister of Justice, Peter Hummelgaard, has several times expressed a strong desire to do the same, but has so far not found a way around the constitution. The hypocrisy is sublime.

Hizb ut Tahrir / Denmark condemns the British government's desperate measures, which will neither stop the call for the total liberation of Palestine nor the political struggle to re-establish the just system of Islam and put an end to the West's colonialist agenda in the Muslim lands.
