Another Member of Hizb ut Tahrir Convicted for Calling for the Liberation of Palestine: History Will Remember the True Word and the True Criminals

303 days into the Zionists' Danish-backed genocide against Gaza's civilian population, another verdict is handed down in the Copenhagen District Court against a member of Hizb ut Tahrir for calling for the military liberation of Palestine. It triggered a verdict of 9 months of unconditional imprisonment for Sam Mohabbat to state the obvious at a demonstration on 10^th October 2023: that the Zionist occupation on 7 Oct. 2023 was dealt a humiliating blow that exposed its fragility to the world and destroyed the myth of its invincibility. That the most important weapon in the arsenal of this inhumane, military occupation was crushed on that historic day – deterrence.

Since then, with renewed brutality, the Zionists have frantically tried to restore what has once and for all gone up in smoke, and in the process exposed their own and the Western states' total lack of humanity. However, this has only reinforced the message that the Zionist occupation is living on borrowed time and has never had any legitimacy. It was established by ethnic cleansing, mass murder, torture and land theft with the support and encouragement of Western states, including Denmark. Today it continues its work using the same methods, and the Danish state continues its despicable support and export of weapons for the genocide.

This verdict should be seen for what it is. Political commission work from a desperate, crisis-ridden government which, like the genocidal occupation it so fervently supports, only reveals its own absolute rottenness. The historyless and historically unworthy Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen, announced on 9 Nov. 2023, that she was "disturbed" by the many pro-Palestinian demonstrations, and sent her Minister of Justice to town with just a week to procure political charges in an "explanation of how the police and the prosecution use the criminal law protection against incitement and condonation of terror”.

The absurd hypocrisy becomes glaringly clear when government politicians, opinion leaders and journalists have now for more than 300 days freely and without consequence expressed their support for occupation, mass killing of children and collective starvation. Officially Denmark supports these crimes against all that is inviolable and perhaps imagines in its own unprincipledness that its attempts at intimidation with prosecution and punishment will slow down the call for the liberation of Palestine.

Hizb ut Tahrir / Denmark congratulates our member, Sam Mohabbat, on his noble stance.  He is guilty of calling for the only solution for Palestine - the elimination of "Israel" and the total liberation of Palestine by the Muslim armies of the surrounding countries going into battle, a dignified and just battle of liberation from military occupation and Danish-supported state terror.

40,000 political court convictions would not silence us or shake our resolve in the slightest!

Palestine will be liberated and history will remember both the true word and the true criminals.
