Press Release
Does the Road to the Quds Pass through Mogadishu?!
(Translated)

On Saturday, Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly affirmed Egypt's unwavering support for the brotherly nation of Somalia and its commitment to enhancing the unity of the country. He noted that "the upcoming period holds great promise for the Somali people." Madbouly stated, "Achieving the unity of Somalia and supporting our Somali brothers in this phase is one of the top priorities of the Egyptian state," adding that this commitment is evident through "high-level official visits between both sides over the past period." The Prime Minister emphasized Egypt's dedication to providing "the necessary support to brotherly Somalia in all fields." (Sky News, 1/9/2024).

These statements and firm stances remind us of Iran and its party in Syria when they turned their backs on the Blessed Land of Palestine, allowing the Jews to spread corruption while they carried out massacres against the people of Syria who were revolting against the tyrant Bashar, the agent of America. They raised the slogan, "The road to al-Quds passes through Aleppo, Qalamoun, and the rest of the Syrian cities!" Similarly, the Egyptian regime has turned a deaf ear to the crimes of the Jews in the Blessed Land of Palestine and has sent its troops to Somalia. Will it now raise the slogan, "The road to al-Quds and Gaza passes through Mogadishu"? Is the Egyptian regime capable of sending men and weapons to Mogadishu but incapable of sending them to Gaza? Or is it simply betrayal, collusion, hostility toward Islam and Muslims, and allegiance to kufr (disbelief) and the kuffar, foremost among them the Jews?

Under the headline "Egyptian Weapons in Somalia: Is a Confrontation with Ethiopia Imminent?" the BBC reported on 30/8/2024: "Just hours after two Egyptian military planes loaded with weapons and military equipment landed in Somalia, a strongly worded Ethiopian statement was issued, accusing its neighbor Mogadishu of destabilizing the region. The Ethiopian statement did not directly name Egypt, but it stated that 'forces attempting to fuel tensions for short-term goals must bear severe consequences,' signaling a potential increase in tension in the Horn of Africa. Experts from Egypt and Ethiopia who spoke to the BBC agreed that 'no direct confrontation will occur between Cairo and Addis Ababa,' though an Africa program expert at Chatham House in London warned that 'the crisis could escalate and lead to more unexpected developments.'"

Ethiopia also announced that Musa Bihi Abdi, the President of Somaliland, received the credentials of Teshome Shunde Hameto, the newly appointed Ethiopian ambassador to the region, in a move that increases tensions among the three countries: Egypt, Somalia, and Ethiopia.

The reality of the crisis in the Horn of Africa is that it represents a power struggle between America, which holds sway, and Britain, which is trying, through its clients in Emirate, to gain a foothold or challenge America presence there. Their focus has been on the Somaliland region, which declared independence. Egypt's involvement in Somalia, its provision of weapons and military support, and the strengthening of trade, economic, and investment relations are not aimed at countering Ethiopia or resolving the water crisis related to the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD). The Egyptian regime abandoned the water issue when it allowed the construction of the dam, which could, if destroyed, cause disasters for Egypt and Sudan, while Ethiopia would suffer the least.

To see the matter more clearly, we need to go back a bit: A tripartite agreement was signed a few years ago between Ethiopia, DP World (former Dubai Ports International), and the Somaliland Ports Authority on March 1, 2018, granting DP World a 51% stake in Berbera Port, with Ethiopia receiving 19%, and the remaining 30% under the management of the Somaliland Port Authority. The new agreement among Emirate, Somaliland, and Ethiopia stipulates that DP World will be responsible for managing and developing the port of Berbera, despite Somali, Arab, and international objections and criticisms of this new Addis Ababa agreement. At the beginning of this year, Addis Ababa announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the unrecognized Somaliland region to lease 20 kilometers around the port of Berbera on the Gulf of Aden, giving it access to the Red Sea for 50 years for maritime and commercial purposes, in exchange for recognizing Somaliland as an independent state. (Dhat Masr, 28/1/2024)

Former Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo accused Emirate of disregarding his country's national sovereignty due to its actions in establishing military bases in semi-autonomous regions like Somaliland and Puntland without consulting the federal government, as well as supporting regional administrations that seek independence. The disputes escalated after the Somali parliament passed a law in March 2018 calling for an end to all UAE economic and military activities in the country. In April of the same year, the crisis intensified when Somali authorities confiscated the contents of an Emirate aircraft carrying nearly $10 million in cash, claiming it was intended for destabilizing operations in Somaliland and Puntland. (Raseef22, 20/12/2023)

The Emirate movements in the region are on behalf of Britain and aimed at expanding its influence, which will inevitably be countered by America's clients in Somalia, Ethiopia, Egypt, and others. This makes the conflict essentially between America and Britain over our lands and their resources, with the blood of the Ummah being the fuel sacrificed for the benefit of Western powers. The presence of Ethiopia in Somaliland and Egypt's entry into a state of apparent conflict aims to push Britain and its agents out of the equation or force them to operate within the framework of America's future plans for the region. This means either Britain's exit from the race or its reduction to merely competing for dominance with America., compelling it to accept the role outlined by America for it and its agents. The tragic reality is that the Red Sea and the Somali coast have become arenas for Western powers to vie for control, while they are surrounded by Islamic countries whose regimes, unfortunately, obey the commands of the unbelieving West and fight under its banner.

The Egyptian regime quickly rushed to Somalia in the south, signaling threats and warnings toward Ethiopia, despite everyone knowing that it will do nothing and will not dare to fire a single bullet at Ethiopia or its dam. Its presence there is at America's will and serves its interests, just as it does in Gaza, besieging it, participating in killing its people, and standing as a barrier between the Egyptian army and its duty to liberate Palestine and support its people. This, while they are within a stone's throw, their blood being shed as they cry out to Egypt and its army day and night without any help or support!

The unity of Somali lands and others is indeed a blessing, but such unity will not come about by America's will, nor through coordination with it, nor under the authority of its agents. True unity can only be achieved under Islam and its state. What is more imperative for Egypt and its army is to support the oppressed and liberate Palestine from the usurping entity that occupies Islamic land, which must be resisted and uprooted without any delay.

O Sincere Ones in the Kinanah Army: The regime's hollow ventures and rhetoric are consuming your efforts in what will not benefit you in this world, nor save you in the Hereafter. Instead, it prevents you from the duty of the liberation of the Blessed Land and the nussrah of its people, for which you will be questioned before Allah on the Day of Resurrection. So, prepare your answer for Allah, or remove this regime, cleanse yourselves of its filth and betrayal, and proclaim a state that implements Islam among you and carries it to the world as a message of guidance and light. This is a state that drives you toward seeking the pleasure of Allah Almighty in both this world and the Akhirah, mobilizing your armies to liberate all Islamic lands, not just Palestine, and to support the oppressed within them. It is the Islamic State that pleases Allah, the Khilafah Rashidah (rightly-guided Caliphate) upon the method of the Prophethood.

[يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَجِيبُوا لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ]

“O you who have believed, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life.” [Al-Anfal:24]
