EDUCATIONAL CAMPAIGN "SAVE GENERATION FROM LIBERAL CULTURE"

The Free Sex phenomenon with its worst consequences among teenagers tends to increase qualitatively and quantitatively year to year, especially by the Valentine day, 14 of February. Last year, the phenomenon of sex on Valentine's Day was uncontrolled. Teenagers have misguided interpreting day of affection. The Foundation of Hotline Education which carries out activities in education field has found 20% of students in Surabaya become pregnant before marriage and they indulged in sexual intercourse on Valentine's Day.

Surely, this fact didn't happen by chance. There are many causes making free sex like "Breakfast" among students in this country. Among the causes is decrease of student religious values. Religious education received in school so far is only about ritual worships. They do not receive comprehensive explanation of Islamic teachings to organize all aspects of the life. This is a result of secular education system. The secular system brings about liberal individuals in their relationship with the opposite sex. The secular produces students with materialistic life style and hedonic, glorify liberalism.

As responsibility and concern for the generation in this country, Hizb ut Tahrir - Indonesia calls upon:

1. The government to stop all kinds of activities and to stop providing means for teenagers to engage in free sex and zina (adultery). To sweep out all pornographic content from among people and punish the perpetrators. Tolerating adultery and pornography will harm young generation and people in general. The government is responsible to protect young generation from liberal culture.

2. All parents and people should encourage one another, performing "amar maruf nahyi munkar" and da'wah among teenagers and students in particular. Not to be indifferent to disobedience and free sex. All parents, educators and people are obligated to direct teenagers and students to Islamic teachings so that they can live based on Islam and can maintain Islamic personalities that reflect on the way they think and act Islamically and they are far away from free sex.

3. All components in the society to save the young generation from destructive liberal culture. It is time to work to establish Khilafah "Caliphate", the only system that can protect the young generation from liberal thought and destructive behavior systemically and comprehensively, so that they will be the best generation leading the civilization in the future.

Free sex is not trivial. We must maintain our good moral to avoid great disaster that struck this country. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said in his hadith,

«إِذَا ظَهَرَ الزِّنَا وَالرِّبَا فِي قَرْيَةٍ فَقَدْ أَحَلُّوْا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ عَذَابَ اللهِ»

"If riba (interest) and zina (adultery) are done in country openly, so they allow Allah the Almighty to give them punishment." [Narrated by Ibn Majah]
