Obituary of a Dawah Carrier

[مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُوا مَا عَاهَدُوا اللهَ عَلَيْهِ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ قَضَى نَحْبَهُ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَنْتَظِرُ وَمَا بَدَّلُوا تَبْدِيلاً]

“Among the believers are men who have proven true to what they pledged to Allah.1 Some of them have fulfilled their pledge ˹with their lives˺, others are waiting ˹their turn˺. They have never changed ˹their commitment˺ in the least.” [Al-Ahzab 33:23]

With great satisfaction with Allah’s will, Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayat Iraq mourns da’wa carrier from the first generation of those who carried the call in Iraq, the honorable brother and virtuous educator:

Hajj Hashem Hamdan (Abu Basem)

Who passed away today, Saturday, the twenty-eighth of Jumada al-Ula 1446 AH, corresponding to: 11/30/2024, and he was over eighty years old, most of which he spent carrying the call, and in which he gave a lot to the call and its carriers, and during which he was sentenced to prison more than once, and his advanced age and illness did not prevent him from continuing to carry the call and follow its news, until the illness confined him to bed permanently.

In this situation, we can only offer the family of the deceased and his brothers, the carriers of the call, our deepest condolences, asking Allah Almighty to have mercy and forgiveness on him and to forgive him and to give him generously and to reside him in the spaciousness of His heavens, with the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs and the righteous, and what an excellent companion they are.
