Even before the anger of Muslims has cooled down, a lady who proclaims to teach History at Sheikh Abdallah Al-Farsy Secondary school in Mombasa, Kenya decides to intentionally insult the beloved Prophet (SAW) in front of Muslim students who are the majority.

The recent conflict that led to the killing of over 60 people, many being Muslims, is deeply saddening. Of even greater concern is that the conflict, which involves two Muslim communities, the Ormo and the Pokomo, the government has shamelessly stated it is unable to resolve the dispute between the two communities.

Following the indefinite ban of weekly tabloid paper (Mwanahalisi) from 30 July 2012, for what the government of Tanzania termed as prolonged disobedience by its managing editor and publisher and the possibility of that particular paper causing worries among citizens, Hizb-ut Tahrir / East Africa would like to expose this issue in two aspects;

The incident that left 17 People killed and 66 injured in Northern Kenya is indeed a sad one and must be condemned/ opposed by every peace loving person.
