Sudan has become Another Painful Wound of the Islamic Ummah

On February 18, 2025, the Sudan's Rapid Support Forces (RSF) convened at Nairobi's Kenyatta International Convention Centre to discuss forming a unity government for the territories they control in the Sudan. The Kenyan authorities assert that its involvement is solely to facilitate “peace efforts in Sudan”. Nairobi had defended its decision to host Sudan’s sanctioned paramilitary wing for talks aimed at signing a political charter. This move has been perceived by Sudan's official government as an attempt to establish a parallel administration, leading to accusations against Kenya of violating Sudan's sovereignty and engaging in hostile actions.

While the full text of the charter has not been made public, but it is expected to outline the RSF's administrative framework, political objectives, and strategies for consolidating control over their territories. It aims to formalize governance structure in the regions the RSF dominate. It is deeply regrettable that Nairobi continues to play proxy role in prolonging conflicts that lead to the loss of human life all under the guise of seeking resolutions to the crisis!

The current political reality in Sudan with other developing countries such as Somalia and the DRC are vulnerable to external forces that, in pursuit of the interests of Western major global powers (US & UK). It is a pity today to witness African countries and its entire institutions such the AU and IGAD participating in consolidating Western colonial interests and influence. Since that conflict erupted two years ago, all declaration of truces, the resumption of clashes, negotiations and communications are confined between the two parties affiliated with America: the Army leadership and the Rapid Support Forces leadership.

The US intention is to limit the conflict between its agents and to control the outcome by dividing roles between them. Its move is to keep the opposition loyal to Britain and Europe paralyzed as it has been since the conflict started. Notably, British agents in the Sudan issue are the Forces of Freedom and Change and others.

Conflicts and ‘peace’ across African continent are significantly due to the colonial rivalry. Sudan has become another painful wound of the Islamic Ummah after witnessing for three decades of Muslim infighting each other in Somalia.

We conclude that since all crises across Africa and the World at large are orchestrated by the greedy colonial powers and their proxies, the resolutions will never be achieved within their framework. Therefore Africa needs a new world order i.e. Islam to liberate her from the colonial chain that views the rich African continent as a source of raw materials and market for their products.

Islam liberates Man from being a slave to another man rather indeed to his Almighty Creator. Hence its ruling system (Al-Khilafah/Caliphate) will work towards liberating the whole humanity in all spheres of life. Then and the only then Africa once will be liberated and live in dignity and prosperity.
