WIKILEAKS REPORTS EXPOSES FAILURE OF DEMOCRACY

The recent intelligence and corruption reports from the US embassy in Tanzania exposed by Wikileaks and reported by the UK Guardian paper dated 19/12/2010 and further reported by The New York Times in early 2011, and later on reported by local press indicates the following:

1. Western embassies exercise a role as ‘spying dens' against developed nations and perpetrate direct intervention in others nations' affairs contrary to international law as laid down by the same Western nations!  They are doing so to safeguard and ensure their political and economic interests.

2. Existence of a clear political and economic struggle for influence between US and European nations in competing to exploit developing nations' resources including Tanzania.  An example is how US officials reacted in a harsh, unshaking manner to defend their country's economic interests by ‘barking' about an ‘evil game' of corruption when Tanzania National Carrier company (ATCL) was reported as preferring to purchase airplanes from the French company Airbus instead of the American company Boeing.

3. Existence of deep-seated and extensive corruption networks associated with high ranking government officials together with businessmen outside the government in the ‘Third World' generally and Tanzania in particular. Nevertheless this reality is a well-known fact to the masses that does not require any spying from western embassies.

4. Existence of well-entrenched patronage and protection networks among high ranking officials in various corruption deals, which is motivated by the evil secular maxim ‘eat and let me eat' such that each one eats at his/her terms while protecting those who came before them!

Hizb ut-Tahrir East Africa warns Muslims and non-Muslims that despite the developing nations being forced to embrace the democratic system as the solution of their problems, in reality this system naturally is incapable of solving human problems since its sole objective is piling up wealth by the elite not serving citizens. This can be vividly seen to both the originators (western nations) and slavish recipients (‘Third World') of the democratic system. Furthermore, it is a system devoid of any sense of spirituality, a system of the elite safeguarding each other with no realistic possibility of accounting high ranking officials when caught astray committing evils red handed!

From this basis, Hizb ut-Tahrir East Africa publicly declares that the only true and correct ideology is Islam under the shade of its government Khilafah "Caliphate", a government is inevitably about to be re-established at the heart of Muslim world. And surely the time has come for Muslims and every enlightened thinker to participate in the process of its re-establishment so as to save humanity from the dark evil that is Capitalist ideology.

[أَلَمْ يَأْنِ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَنْ تَخْشَعَ قُلُوبُهُمْ لِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَمَا نَزَلَ مِنْ الْحَقِّ وَلاَ يَكُونُوا كَالَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلُ فَطَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ الأَمَدُ فَقَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَكَثِيرٌ مِنْهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ]

"Has not the time come for the hearts of those who believe to be affected by Allah's Reminder and that which has been revealed of the truth, lest they become as those who received the scripture before, and the term was prolonged for them and so their hearts were hardened. And many of them were rebellious (Fasiqun)" [TMQ 57:16]
