Press Release
A COALITION GOVERNMENT OR A COLLISION GOVERNMENT?

As of this date, Kenyan citizens continue to witness wrangles, disputes and posturing of their political leaders since the formation of the coalition government rendering the situation a collision government rather than a coalition government. It started with the issue of sharing the government ministries, then the issue over protocol precedence between the vice president and prime minister. Followed by rows over the authority to suspend cabinet ministers between president Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga ending with the most recent controversy of the nomination of the top officials of the judiciary being the most important government organ. Any government that intends to be effective should not be surrounded by such battles. However these ongoing disputes are another proof that this government is acrobatic and its leaders have no intention to deliver services to the citizens but to fill their own stomachs. Hizb ut-Tahrir East Africa believes there are many reasons that have caused this fanfare, which aside form being ridiculous need to be exposed.

Hizb ut-Tahrir East Africa sees clearly this situation is a result of a weak foundation that this government was created on i.e. a power sharing deal between two political rivals. Any government formed through such an accord normally becomes weak and fragile being prone to collapse! Another reason is that Kenyan leaders are driven by ethnic motivations and sentiments, greed and selfishness. The biggest cancer of the Kenyan political class is tribalism; a leader does what he wishes gaining support from his henchmen despite his cruelty, corruption and drug dealing! We clearly how see these kinds of leaders could easily put the country into civil strife. In addition to these two reasons, this government was founded through international pressure especially from western nations, the UK and US, who are major investors with large economic interests here in Kenya. These two nations dictate Kenyan politics and normally set up all political maps to many of the African states. The reality is that the two leaders of this coalition government were forced into an agreement which both of them submitted unwillingly so as to please either US or UK.

Western capitalists refer to this as a ‘compromise solution' which is normally imposed in many countries afflicted with political turmoil resulting from their evil capitalist ideology.

As for Islam, it is a complete ideology with a detailed system of governance, providing a strong foundation for the structure of the government. Islam forbids two rival executive leaders in one government. This strong basis aims at protecting the government from divisions that can lead to the collapse of the state and eventual civil war. Islam also gave the people the right to elect a leader regardless of his tribe and sect or class. When their leader, known as a Khaleefah, is elected; he is responsible for implementation of the divine laws not man-made laws which are the prime source of all crises witnessed in the world today. Islam also forbids inherited dynastic rule i.e. father to his son or tibalistic succession as what has happened in Kenya and that which take place in the rest of the world. Lastly the Khilafah "Caliphate" State is not controlled by foreign entities where it becomes a client state.

Khilafah "Caliphate" is an independent government that will liberate the world from the corrupt Capitalist ideology and therefore it will never be directed by international pressure. Rather this government will uproot western states and establish justice globally. Unto this we call you, O people of intellect!
