One of the news sites published a news with the content that one of our Shabab from Hizb ut Tahrir from Tripoli fought in the blessed battle to break the siege of Aleppo. The news mentioned that the accused Shab “Abu Sabri” is from the Shabab of Hizb ut Tahrir from the area of Abu Samra in Tripoli.

The Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah Lebanon expresses the following clarification:

Firstly: The martyr “Abu Sabri” is from Syria and not from Tripoli, and he is therefore not from amongst the Shabab of Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah Lebanon.

Secondly: Some of the established Lebanese media spread politically aimed news. Especially those who connected themselves to the war machine that sheds the blood of the Muslims on the land of Al Sham who besiege their areas and drop explosive barrel bombs on them.

The best evidence of this connection of the sites that published this false news is their description of the Syrian rebels as “terrorist groups”.

Thirdly: The spread of false news like this is not innocent, especially not in the severe health and inhumane conditions, under which the Shabab from Tripoli suffer in the prisons of the Lebanese authority.
