Christchurch Attack: Without Khilafah, the Ummah Has No Shield

The brutal killings in two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand by a white extremist are acts of terrorism that no sound man could accept. The white supremacist and immense hatred towards Islam inspired by the Crusades was obviously the motive of the heartless killer. The extreme violence of the killer is also inseparable from the United States’ war on terror (aka ‘war on Islam’) worldwide program, which has successfully "produced" barbaric men such as Brenton Tarrant!

Any Muslim should not be silent with this inhumane killing, what more when it was committed in the houses of Allah (swt), and at the time when Muslims were about to perform Friday prayers. On this basis, Hizb ut Tahrir / Malaysia (HTM), along with the concerned Muslims in Malaysia, held a peaceful gathering to condemn such a violent attack and at the same time showing solidarity towards the Muslims in New Zealand, especially to the victims and their families. In the gathering, HTM asserted inter alia that:

- The brutality of the killer manifested the abhorrence of the enemies of Islam whose thought has been successfully "programmed" by the West to execute the war on terror (aka ‘war on Islam’) on the Muslims;

- It is unfortunate that the Muslim rulers do nothing and some of them are just repeating the old rhetoric of criticizing the killings. At the time when Charlie Hebdo was attacked, and 12 French citizens were killed, those rulers went down to the street of Paris along with the Kuffar rulers, to express their solidarity with the slogan "We are all Charlie". Nonetheless when 50 Muslims were cruelly attacked in the houses of Allah (swt), they did nothing! This is a clear proof of their betrayal to the Ummah;

- During the existence of the Islamic State, the Prophet (saw) dispatched an army and defeated Bani Qainuqa' simply because a Jew dishonored a Muslim woman. Similarly, Caliph al-Mu'tasim Billah had declared jihad on Amuriyah, the strongest fortress of the Roman empire, simply due to a cry of a Muslim woman who was arrested, imprisoned and humiliated by some Romans. Al-Mu'tasim dispatched the largest army until Rome fell into the hands of the Khilafah and it was reported that he himself opened the prison door where the Muslim woman was locked up;

- After the fall of the Khilafah on 28 Rajab 1342 Hijri (3rd March 1924 CE), the Ummah has lost her shelter and shield that safeguarded her for more than 1300 years, resulting in the spilling of the blood of this noble Ummah all over the earth, unprotected. It is certainly truthful when the Prophet (saw) said that the Imam (Caliph) is like a shield that protects the Muslims

«إِنَّمَا اْلإِمَامُ جُنَّةٌ يُقَاتَلُ مِنْ وَرَائِهِ وَيُتَّقَى بِهِ»

“The Imam is but a shield behind him the people fought and protected” (Narrated by Muslim). When this shield is lost, the honor, wealth, blood and soul of the Muslims are always susceptible to danger. This is the reality that we are witnessing today.

Ninety-eight years without the Khilafah, the suffering faced by Muslims throughout the world is countless, especially those living in the Kuffar states. New Zealand has become a new target. Every Muslim needs to ask themselves honestly, what is the solution to the brutal killings of Muslims all this while, if not the Khilafah?

What is the solution to the massacres, humiliations and disunity of the Ummah all this while, if not the Khilafah? What is the solution to replacing the Western-agent Muslim rulers who have betrayed the Ummah all this while, if not the Khilafah? What is the solution to the colonization and terrorism perpetrated by the Kuffar states against the lands of Islam and the Muslims all this while, if not the Khilafah? What is the solution to replacing the secular system and laws imposed on the Ummah all this while, if not the Khilafah? What is the solution to making the Deen of Allah (swt) victorious over all other religions, if not the Khilafah? What is the solution that lets for the spreading of Islam as a mercy to the universe, if not the Khilafah? What is the solution to restoring the dignity of Muslims and make Islam the world's super power for a second time, if not the Khilafah?
